Is this 4g?

Is this 4g?

Excellent question. I assumed it was the Dual SIM 3G version, but looking at the battery capacity and the fact that it ships with Android 5 pre-loaded, would likely mean it is the single SIM 4G version.

Someone call them and ask for the actual model number please.
Edited by: "SUMMONER" 10th Apr 2015

Bargain if it's the 4G version.

The 2015 4G version, come's with 3 colours for the back cover.
Edited by: "GR2" 10th Apr 2015

According to web chat this is the 4G version, which has just 1 SIM card slot.

Still a complete and utter bargain!

It is the 4G version.

Can I use a T-Mobile sim in this phone without unlocking? Only asking because in the past it was possible to use T-Mobile sim cards in virgin phones without unlocking.

Emma: Hello, as a Virgin Mobile order specialist, I can help you set up a new mobile account and select a phone. Are there any questions I may help answer for you today?
You: Hello I'm trying to add the Moto G that is priced at £109.99 (including £10 top up) to my basket but when I do the price changes to £119.99, any ideas?
Emma: Thank you for your interest in Virgin Mobile!
You: ?
Emma: Just so you know, you will get £10 top up inluded with £119.99.
You: Okay you might want to change the wording of the website as the page states that the £10 top up is included in the £109.99, the extra ten only gets added in the basket.

..... Emma: I apologies for the inconvenience caused to you.
Emma: Our website is facing some technical issues due to which wrong pricing is shown there.

Love this phone.

I have ordered Moto E's and G's (1st gen) from the Virgin before, they have always been unlocked. The same doesn't apply to the other phones that they sell.

It should proabably be un-expired. It's still a good price at £119.99, and still in stock when I try to order.

yeah going through now at £120.00

Live chat suggested going to a Virgin phone shop to get it for the price on the website, interesting to see if that would really be the case.

Tempted to order then armed with a screen shot, argue the toss afterwards...

might be a hard one to argue, as the checkout process would've highlighted the price a few times before you completed.

has anyone tried to buy by calling?

According to Emma on chat its a mistake on the website and should be £109.99 inc £10.00 topup, she's says they're working to correct it

I just spoke to chat and they were no help about getting the £10 back.

So called them and they said that I could not cancel the order as it had been shipped (I can return for a full refund when it arrives though). But she said just ring when it arrives to arrange a return and they will probably give me the £10 if I decide to keep it.

So I am going to wait and see. If it is unlocked and works fine I will see if I can get the £10 back, if not I will probably just return for the full refund.

Probably best to wait then in case it changes.

I rang telesales and they confirmed that 119.99 is the correct price. Web price is incorrect.

Emma: Hello, as a Virgin Mobile order specialist, I can help you set up a new mobile account and select a phone. Are there any questions I may help answer for you today?
You: Hello, please can you confirm the Moto G (2nd generation) is £109.99 including £10.00 top up (As displayed on your website) Only when I proceed to checkout it increases to £119.99? Thanks
Emma: Currently, there is a technical error with the order process for Moto G phone and that's why, it's showing the incorrect pricing while placing the order.
Emma: However, our team is working on it and this problem will soon be resolved.
Emma: Would that be alright for you?
You: OK thanks, can you confirm the price is actually £109.99 including £10.00 top up?
Emma: Yes, the price is £109.99.
You: Sorry, just to be clear, £109.99 including £10.00 top up?
Emma: Yes, that's right.
You: Great! Thanks Emma
Emma: My pleasure.

Definitely out of stock, the agent told me they're having issues with that page and if I want one I should visit a store.

Still a bargain at £119, just ordered.

Tesco is selling this phone PAYG for £115 and they triple your top-ups ... so so a £10 top-up gives you £30 credit.
shop.tescomobile.com/pay…164

Alternatively, you can have this on a monthly contract for £11 a month (250 mins, 5000 texts, 500MB).
