I have this same phone and I have to agree with you, but at £90 if you qualify is a good price.

Unusual, no t mobile / EE Upgrade offer

Why is o2 always so much more expensive...

I don't know how they get away with it. Their contract deals are always rubbish too. Why do people use them?

Or more to the point...who? I don't know anyone with them!

There is a Micro SD Slot for expandable memory if needed

Wasnt it sim free at tesco recently at this price? or at least on tesco mobile and just unlock for a couple of quid.

should update title to indicate that this price is for existing VODAFONE PAYG customers only

They used to have good service (of course so did Orange...). Nowadays I think 3 is a really good package - leading PAYG prices, good data rates, and quite decent service. But they do not give you cheap phone deals...

The black Moto G is available in the Tesco instore "Phone Shop" for £99, they only do the white online at that price - you have to be prepared to do some legwork as all stock sells out almost instantly. Ask the desk to do a stock check for your other local stores if they have none. Its locked to tesco mobile - you can unlock it through Ebay for £1.39. It takes a 32gb memory card so dont be put off by the "OOh its only 8gb"
Brilliant phone, running on GiffGaff.

Can you install apps to the microSD card though?

Yeah I did have o2 years ago but they just became too expensive so I moved on. I've moved around all the networks since then and it always surprises me o2 are always more expensive. As a business model it looks flawed but someone is obviously using them.

I used to be with them for quite a long time but a few years back i moved over to three because of good prices and data limits (plus much better 3g coverage) but now im getting concerned that they're buying o2 so who knows what the future holds now. My guess is higher prices across the board.

It'll take a 64gb card too.

You can save downloaded apps onto an SD up to 32GB, larger cards require a quick reformat. I believe App data and preinstalled apps are stored on the internal storage and cannot be moved to the SD card.

So those saying ew 8GB, you're being a bit daft.

True but they do not perform as well.

Internal storage is far faster and reliable than SD, bit facile to say they are comparable.

Really.
Try and see if u can go back on hukd or any site and see what was chosen the best budget phone in world.
Before long your Honor C will be forgotten. Don't forget its a Huawei rebranded name. Can't compare that to Motorola surely

This or the Honor Holly for £66?
I need a second phone (already have an iPhone 6) so even something more basic than these, that I can put on PAYG with 3 would work. Any suggestions would be welcome

Re-brand?

Samsung Galaxy S3.
Huawei Honor 6.

Look on the back of the Honor phones it clearly says Huawei.

Using mine to send this - with still no Lollipop despite being one of the first handsets to be promised it...

I contacted Motorola tech support chat last week and they said there's no clear date for Lollipop release but it is 'being worked on'...not really much help!

for not a lot more moneyhttp://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00PQL520Q

More money for only a 3g unit? Not really a comparison.

great price for the phone / good find - unfortunately qualifying for a 'carphone warehouse upgrade' is a hit & miss based on my experience .

I would say under-valued at just £89.99 !

I have to disagree with that, SD is used even for high end cameras to save huge files and fullhd movies, it won't slow down your phone at all, and all apps can be installed in the 8GB anyway (hard to install more than 8GB worth of apps) and keep the data (like photos, music) on the SD.

They are comparable, IMO, in this particular application, and also if your phone screen dies or the phone dies, having your photos and data on your SD will be a life-saver, you can just copy them to your PC, and send the phone for repair.

No SD = your photos/data are gone forever, first thing they will do when trying to repair it will be to clear all data.
