So tempted. I have the 1st gen dual SIM. Bigger screen will be better for blokes with large hands and fingers!

heat rather buy from Amazon than other resellers.

Cold from me, it's there latest model and have taken 4G off it .

Cold from me as it's cheaper and readily available at Kikatek.

I ordered from there on Sunday. My order arrived at 10AM today despite selecting super saver delivery, which should have taken 3-5 working days.

I've never had a problem with Kikatek in all the years I've used them for computer parts, and have found their customer service to be very good.

I agree. Why they took 4g out is a mystery. I understand they want to keep the price down, but taking 4g out is like a backwards step these days. Its understood that not all markets support 4g, but a western variant with 4g would have been nice, in the same way eastern markets usually get Dual sim variants of phones as standard.

I think the target market was primarily eastern for this one. That must why we get the useful dual Sim version too.

It looks like a good update ,but its the same price everywhere and has been since the weekend . Amazon a bit slow on this one ! . And for the umpteenth time to those a bit slow -this isn't the replacement for the MotoG 4G its the replacement for the MotoG !! For the 2 % of the population who can get 4G I daresay the replacement for the MotoG4G will be along soon oO

Where the he'll is the God Damn 16GB version?!

Does it have GPS satnav thing... My first moto G was great except it was never any good as a satnav device. The nokia 620 was miles ahead in that regard with it nokia Here app....really quick and accurate.

If this new moto g has a decent satnav i will definitely upgrade

Google Maps navigation as standard, but I use Waze which is free, and miles better.

4G? I cannot even get 3G where i live, might be worth asking amazon to price match £137.99 price at

It's no different to the first one, you just didn't use a decent OFFLINE mapping solution. Forget Waze and Google Maps, they won't help you when there's no 3G signal, use Mapfactor Navigator and Navfree and if you want a pay once solution for speed camera use CamSam Plus which can overlay your main satnav app.

play.google.com/sto…_GB

play.google.com/sto…_GB

play.google.com/sto…_GB

All of the above will cost you 99p as you only have to pay for CamSam Plus the rest are free and OFFLINE mapping.

CamSam Plus uses scdb.info/ database, so for 99p it's a bargain.

I think the Xperia SP is better than the M2 and this Moto G. 4G version can be had for 145.

So it's >

Moto G 3G no sd card, no 4G, 4.5" lcd, 2013

Moto G 4G sd card and 4G, 4.5" lcd, 2014

Moto G 3G sd card, no 4G, 5.0" lcd, 2014

I wonder how many more combinations of Moto G they can get so that everyone gets really confused. I can't wait for 2015 for the Moto G 4G, no sd card, 32gb, 4.5" lcd 2015 and then the Moto G 3G sd card 64gb, 5.5" lcd, 2015, in fact now I can't wait for 2016.

Seems to be mostly better, apart from the average CPU and the LCD isn't as good >

I'm just waiting for the Moto G 18" microwave, personally. Don't need all the other gibberish!

That's quite a big screen, although Apple will have a 22" on the next iPhone 7, it took them a while to catch up, but they're cooking on gas now, apparently that's better than microwaves and Apple invented it.

Moto had launched the 4G version 2 months back so will keep the manufacturing lines open for a while.

The new phone is meant to be available alongside the 4G version and removes the issue of no SD card in the old version.
But is not designed to eat into the pie of the 4G Moto G

jonathan_d

SD card does nothing, its only good for storing music, video etc. KitKat doesn't allow app to SD which is no good if you have a few apps/games that are 600+mb. 16gb version was announced at launch but can't find anywhere selling it!

Are you trying to start a war?

So Google can take the time to fit forward-facing, stereo speakers on their cheap 2nd gen Moto G, but on their flagship Nexus 5, costing double the amount, they give us a mono, downward-facing speaker that you can't hear if you accidentally put your hand on it? Silly people.
