I've picked the wrong time to upgrade...great mid-range prices galore. …I've picked the wrong time to upgrade...great mid-range prices galore. Pre-ordered the Nord but probably be happy with 10 different phones, this included.

Probably will, we all argue about which is best, but they are all awesome gadgets for mid range money

I'm not that bothered by 'benchmark wars' ...as long as I can get a half decent phone that'll last a couple of years, I'm pretty happy.

I'd love a top of the range one but given the cost of them, I just can't justify it. This sort of level is where I shop and I assume many others too.
Reminiscing here, remember getting the original Moto G from Tesco, 100 quid and that 4.5" screen was massive !

Yeah, don't blame you, I'm more akin to older flagships to be honest, they still run better than most mid range phones.

Not in the camera department, unless you need a macro camera mad wide angle.
Does this allow added storage via a sim @MrSwitch ?
Good all-rounder. Even got a headphone jack and micro SD

Talking of old flagships...I'm still using an LG V20, but it gets warm very easily and is very laggy. I do have an insane number of apps installed, mind you. I'm wondering whether something like this will eliminate the lag (and stay cooler), what with processor advances in the last 4 years?

I reckon it will, what chip was in the V20 again, the one in this is akin to the snap 835 in many respects.

Shouldn't that be dual SIM or single SIM + SD..?

You mean the screen size?

The ratio, 21:9. I still prefer old school 16:9, Nexus 6.

Ah OK, I had the nexus 6 (Motorola) brilliant phone.
I'm still using an original 2+ year old Motorola One. I think this handset might me my upgrade of choice once it's sub £250. I reckon I'll get 2.5-3 years out of one. All the specs I need and 5G if I need it. 🔥
