Voted cold as escortboy is correct. Just got one for my son.

I think you can't remove the Tesco voicemail number tho which you can only do if you root it voiding the warranty I believe, if that bothers you? So the extra £2 may be worth that

Don't forget £5 TCB. Actually makes this quite a good deal for a SIM free version. Thanks op

Would not buy from this company and yes, it is cheaper at Tesco.
Thanks anyway OP.

Tesco direct are still showing no stock, so at the moment you can’t use the voucher code for £15 off.

any particular reason? I've never had any trouble.I have been using them for well over 5 years

Thanks OP - I take it this would make for a good upgrade from an HTC wildfire S?

cheaper at tesco so cannot understand how its got any heat

It's never available at Tesco

It's ALWAYS available at Tesco, just not online. My local Metro hasn't gone out of stock of the 8GB at all. It's only 16GB that has. There's a 1-click method of flashing stock ROM onto the Tesco version at Modaco.com and Tesco would never check this at any point if the phone developed a manufacturer defect down the line. Unlock is £1.99. So you can get it from Tesco with no waiting for a bit less. I guess it depends on your priorities but I'd rather pay £8 less and deal with Tesco in the event of any faults than send off the phone to BuyMobiles for them to send it to Motorola. Tesco are really easy to deal with, no quibbles.

THIS IS SIM FREE

Agree with misterleoni,
Some Tesco stores Do have stock of these Moto G models.
My local has them in stock.
The email alerts from Tesco are waste of time. Best to pop in to try your local store if possible. Stock changes very quickly whereas the Tesco website is very slow to update stock alerts.
Also as previously stated in other threads regarding this particular mobile, Tesco may not honour the phone warranty if you unlock the phone from their network.
Most people are aware of this but just in case some are not aware of this.
hope this helps someone

DOES THE CODE ACTUALLY WORK ??? I DONT THINK SO

To clarify, even if you purchase an unlock code to make the phone sim free you still can't remove the voicemail number unless you also root the phone? Is that right or have I misunderstood?

Cheers

anyone found a way to enter the voucher code??

Cold. Cheaper at Tesco.

You simply cannot enter the code in ? Why are people voting this Hot?

Really? I thought it would get it at around the same time as the SIM free units as the Tesco build is an official Motorola one.

The Jellybean release for this device does seem to have a lot of problems though considering that it basically AOSP. Hopefully the KitKat build will fix it.

You don't need to root it, you could just reflash it with a stock rom.

Both the standard UK Jellybean rom and the US KitKat one will work as long as your phone has been unlocked.

Brilliant.................what is your point exactly.

The deal posted is for the phone with a £20 voucher ??

Where exactly paste £20 off voucher code VCCU20 while ordering please?

THAT ITS COLD AS THERE IS NO WHERE TO ENTER CODE ON THE SITE!

If I didn't know any better, I'd say this thread might be self-promotion.

Not in my experience. Sent 3 month old Hauwei for repair for same fault twice. Returned with same fault twice, then told I had to send it for a 3rd time.
It took an email to the MD to get them to refund.
Terrible service and won't buy a phone from Tesco again.
YMMV

What problems have you had? I've only had one crash and I gather the status LED isn't that great (fixable).

The Amazon App Store doesn't work as unsigned apps only seem to install once you upload the APK to Google Drive and then re-download it from there. Clearing all of the App security flags doesn't seem to make any difference.

Also, MediaServer seems to be consuming high battery resources now although I believe that can be a common bug on Android.

Just spoke to a buymobiles customer support agent, you can only use voucher codes on contract deals.
