Good News!! and thanks for that!!

Has Argos gone back up then because I got one the other day for £129 without a code...

I've got one of these and they are really welll made for this kind of money.

How does this compare to an iPhone 4S, I know the obvious android and ios differences but I'm curios to know for usability speed wise, camera etc...as my wife has a 4S and fancies a change.

good price, got one from Amazon last week for £129.99 less the master card £5 off promo. Excellent phone, so pleased with it. very nippy and camera is pretty good, especially the multi shot mode. I'm used to budget types phones, came from a huawei y300, wildfire s before this, so this feels like a proper smartphone, very little lag. Dual sim is useful too, and it does screencast to chromecast really well.

Just got one of these for the father in law to replace his iPhone 3GS and I'm very impressed. The phone is very quick to use and easy to set up. Android takes a little getting used to (I'm an iPhone user myself) but it soon seems to be pretty intuitive.

My only minor grumble (and it's probably just an Android thing) is the advertising in a lot of the apps I downloaded from the Play store but that's not a problem with the phone itself.

What android version is it running? Is there lag on chromecast?

4.4.4 but supposed to be updated to Lollipop at the end of 2014 but no update available yet for mine. I believe it is in the process of being rolled out.

Doesn't matter about version of Android. Update the Chromecast application and it should allow you to cast your screen, though it'll say you're using Beta mode. Works with my 1st gen Moto G.

Not much lag, actually runs quite well, even when streaming football. Though sometimes it can disconnect when using a very advert and media heavy website.

Android 4.4.4, and it's meant to get an over-the-air upgrade to 5.0.x Real Soon Now(tm) (US models already have it and it's been seeded in India in mid-November).

Judging from the unit I bought for my mother in November, Chromecast lag isn't that significant. (Less than a quarter second I guess. Just enough that I can just about notice.) Streaming is only via the Chromecast app itself ("Beta") like most phones, unlike my father's Nexus 4, where there's a quick control for "Cast Screen". However, I've noticed audio often cuts out several seconds into casting (must be why it's still "beta").

Too bad. Life's not perfect ....

I would buy this version instead of the 4g.
This has more and better features IMO. Sd card slot dualism and 5inch. If u desperately need 4g. (Hardly any good coverage anywhere except London). Go ahead and buy the 4g

4G Moto G does have SD Card Slot.

£139 without code !!!!!! was a much better deal a while back, with other codes/ boost.

4G Moto G has an SD slot and also has the same display resolution (but in a smaller size)
Camera would be the only thing that would make me switch but this is too big for me as a phone.
Dual sim would be handy but only for O2 offers!

LG G2

Just ordered 'Very Good' G2 from Amazon for £164..

WASHINGTON: Android smartphone users have been waiting for the newest software to hit their devices. Google successfully rolled out Android 5.0 Lollipop to a handful of units including the LG G3. Interestingly, a newly-leaked photo suggests that its predecessor, the LG G2, will get the update next.
According to GSM Arena, a F320L version of the LG G2 was seen donning the Android 5.0.1 build on top of the device’s own GUI in the image. The site believes that users of the said smartphone in South Korea will get it first. This is because: one, domestic markets are first in getting the taste of the new stuff, and two, the LTE-A model used to take the screenshot of the leaked image is only available in the said country. However, this does not discount the fact that the new software is coming down LG G2’s way.
In other Lollipop-related news, the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop over-the-air update will be launched to the Moto G, both the original and the next-generation model. This claim, however, is still unsubstantiated by Motorola itself and changelogs are still absent, Android GS reports. But the need for it is obvious as Lollipop came with bugs that could certainly do with polishing. Besides, the company is fast–moving when it comes to the brand new software, with its offerings being first to have Lollipop hot and fresh onboard.
Android GS reports that some users have been receiving the update, which is about 50 MB. The Android 5.0.1 update for the first generation Moto G goes by system version 220.21.25 and build number LXB22.46-25. The one for Moto G 2014 has system version 22.21.25 and build number LXB22.46-25.
Android 5.0.1 is being released in phases so it may take a while to cross boundaries this early. A notification that will prompt its installation will pop out the moment the device becomes entitled to the update. But it would not hurt to check. To see if the update is available, users can navigate through Settings > About phone > System updates > Check for updates.

I don't know but every time I had lg phone there were always problems with signal. I heard that lg g2 has same issue. neverbuy any lg phones!!!
