Is this 4 or 3G?

Original Poster

I think it is 3G. This price seems good even for 3G

I bought this last week for £99.99 from Amazon locked to Vodafone. Got it unlocked via eBay For £1.69
Even better price now.

Original Poster

I could not find a cheaper price for this phone anywhere else.

They were reduced to £59 at Tescos, but very hard to find stock.

Original Poster

I agree. Better take a lotto than getting it for that price from Tesco.

Not sure. The other deal floating around in the HUKD about the Moto E with Virgin media is a cheaper option(£49.99), on an inferior(but the best for that price range) spec phone.

gsmarena.com/com…685
you lose in camera, but you gain in other areas like screen.

what i was really surprised about was this though:
youtube.com/res…ter

amazing what you can get for your money now. i got some for £80 but that was refurbs.

could you tell me which unlocking service you used as I can't find one priced at £1.69 and was it easy? Thanks in advance

which apparently will launch at £200, making it 2.5x the price i paid, and in no way relevant.
knowyourmobile.com/mob…-10
also if the screen really is 5" that's no good to me either. i couldn't care less about 4G, microsd is nice but only really relevant if you do music/movies/games on your phone.

edit: specs may be wrong, it's probably more similar to the first one. i'd expect it to launch at least £140 so £50 more than this, the G(1) is plenty for most people till probably around 2017 i wouldn't hesitate to buy one unless microsd storage is an issue for you.

I bought this last week for £100 locked to Voda. The only thing Voda about it was the seal on the box, no branding on the phone and no bloatware. Unlocked it via eBay for £1.69, job done.

yeah motog is first phone i've not felt the need to change the OS. its is almost like a budget Nexus range.
i would root though and disable some annoying motorola stuff like the OTA upgrade box, use greenify, adblock etc. not going into that here use google. especially if the phone is for someone else, you do not want that OTA popup.
it comes with 4.4.2 btw.

I'm in the same boat as you apart from i'd like the micro SD slot so it's possible to have movies ect on the phone without running out of space and constantly deleting things. Seems silly to pay £50 more for just a micro sd though. So people have to weight up what they care about most, perfect phone or a not so perfect phone which costs less.

The G2 is rumoured to have an 8MP camera as well as 8GB/16GB storage options as well.

Same price Instore at Vodafone so not a deal...massively bored of these now.

It come locked to voda. I bought one last week for my Dad at the price a steal. I got it unlocked within 3 hours of arrival with a code from ebay for £1.69, childs play.

Thanks for the heads-up ... with the G2 around the corner, the G is starting to become out of stock from the cheaper retailers.

hey everyone, stop posting deals now, griffithle is bored of them! /s

if it's the lowest price, it's still a deal. just write "same price in store at vodaphone" and carry on.

Great phone, great price. Nice one OP

The lack of an SD card slot has not been an issue as just use Google Drive - works fine.

I think that was the E model (and 4Gb)

You can buy it straight from the vodafone online store shop.vodafone.co.uk/sho…ayg
dont forget quidco too

same price Vodafone in store and online. it was posted here but gone cold !
