The Moto G3 is in stock clearance for £50 in Tesco Quinton. Don't know whether it's nationwide or store specific. Amazing phone, especially for £50!

Very good phone at a great price if you can find one. Getting my comment in before the spotty-faced geek trolls start whining about the lack of gigabytes, and insulting everyone who doesn't want to spend £700 on an iPhone.

Was posted a few days ago. Good price for the spec & if it won't be to intensely used...

They have them advertised for £50 but they are not actually in stock.

Well it's similar to the instore deal that was posted few days back.
Good luck with the chase

None in Quinton. None in Solihull. None in Willenhall

Nice to have as a spare or back up, heat added

Not sure if 8gb is big enough nowadays.

If using it for calls and texts, or taking photos its fine (with a MicroSD card inserted at least).

The low storage warnings and errors will soon start though after installing a few apps.

If this gets newer updates the "adoptable" storage will help.

It already has adoptable storage with the marshmallow update.

It's rubbish though. It's barely any different to apps2SD in lollipop, where you could manually move certain apps to the SD. The only difference is that apps can now be installed to the SD automatically, but the same limitations apply. Some apps can't be installed to the SD card, all apps are at least partially installed on internal storage, apps have significant problems when running from SD (crashing, unresponsive, broken features, missing widgets...etc).

Adoptable storage is simply not as advertised, it doesn't extend the internal storage. The SD card is still treated separately by the system where apps are concerned.

How much ram? If less than 2gb will give memory problems. Will need clean master if less ram.

Called 4 Tesco Extra in Glasgow. Not in stock anywhere

I have one of these as a work phone and if you are calling, texting, watching films and on internet it is great. I did a side by side with my Galaxy S6 the other day and it did not compare that badly at all considering the price. Watching films from Netflix was better on the S6 but the Moto G was actually not that far behind with good colour and the resolution is good on a screen of this size. I am a heavy smartphone user and use the S6 for VR which pushes it to its limits; however, for normal gaming the Moto G3 is ok playing games like Ashpalt 8 well. I still have the old Moto G 4G for my kids and even that still runs most apps well. For £50 or even a lot more the Moto G3 is very good value. The storage is on the low side so moving games to the SD card will be required.

How are you getting on with your black & white TV these days? Just because you like outdated garbage doesn't mean everyone else does.

And BTW, you don't need to spend "£700 on an iPhone", firstly because they don't cost £700 and secondly, because you can get a really good quality 2g/16gb Android phone for £80 that blows this 1gb/8gb outdated piece of junk out of the water in terms of usability, performance and future proofing.

That's pretty similar to this phone in most ways and not worth that extra cost if anyone could actually find a £50 g3 that is.

His question was a phone for £80 and as this one is no longer available and I supplied him with an option. He didn't ask which is better of the two

Let's not forget the long launch times for apps stored on the external memory.
I use a class 10 card and even simple apps like a calculator take an age to load up. Took me a who to figure out that the slow launch times were due to the external storage selection.
