Is this a good phone for a simple work phone? Need clear reception and good battery?
Why not go with topcashback
I've got the Moto G4 Plus and it's absolutely horrible. Battery life is rubbish now and has screen ghosting or whatever that is called. So I don't know how much I can trust Moto phones anymore. The G3 was a solid phone though so that's a shame.

Good call, £31.50 cashback from Topcashback.
Looks like TCB is £30.30 even better. I also have a £5 offer on my Halifax account.
Just a little warning I did a deal posted on here before Christmas where you could get £40 cashback through quidco on a new activation and handset but only got £5 instead so have had to open a claim of which I am still waiting to hear the outcome

But this is for a G5. No ghosting issues and battery life is ok. Heat for this price, especially if cashback gets confirmed.
Top cashback are awful amazing how they never pay out larger amounts

Quidco are usually quite good. Had a merchant who wouldn’t pay up and Quidco paid the money instead.

Had BT cashback from TCB (about £150), and it tracked without issue so they do pay up - just think of what they give as a bonus, not factoring it into the price of purchase.
Does this have a compass?
No nfc on this so if you rely on android pay then no good
Bought a p8 lite instead

I bought it a year ago for work and as car navigation. Battery is excellent and it works ok with Tomtom. I drive in London and abroad and never had any issue. I didn't know it doesn't have compass. I don't use NFC.
TopCashback are offering £45 "cashback” but it lists the offer as “SIM Activation Bonus On New Handset Purchases“. I am guessing that this means they put £45 on your account? It’s not entirely clear whether they will do this or whether TCB will simply give you £45 cashback to your account as normal (which is what I thought “cashback” was). Anyone else have an idea about this?

Interesting, I'd not spotted that. They are doing the £45 offer again. I think it's cashback and bonus is referring to the amount over the normal handset cashback. In face the way it reads almost suggests that you'd get the £45 on top of the standard £5!
The price has just dropped on this one!

It is now:
£109 + £10 top up = £119

Think that's the best deal for this phone out there at the moment
