Why's this getting cold votes? Seems like a good price to me.
The Moto G4 has 2GB of RAM so not much of an upgrade

Amazon Exclusive Model; 3GB RAM with Dual SIM for £180

Looking for a half decent phone for my 11 year old. Thought this looked alright but cold votes putting me off???
Thats a decent price for the 2GB version. I personally would pay a little extra and get the 3GB exclusive version from sites such as Amazon if it was for me. A 11 year old may not care.

Dont let it. Wife got one on the weekend (3GB version). Nice screen and nippy experience. Camera is fast at taking pictures. Very good outdoor pictures and not bad indoor ones too (low light).

No experience of Direct Mobiles but I hope they give good after sales service because Motorola's suck.

I've had the G4 dual sim for a while & I'd certainly recommend it. For another £25 I'd say go for the Amazon deal, as the extra 1GB of RAM should make a difference to the performance
The Moto G4 is 5.5inch screen, which may be a deal breaker/maker so some. I got the g4 2 months before the g5 came out and I wish I waited. I hate the larger screen. 5inch screen is perfect for 1 hand use. I've got large hands and the g4 is awkward with 1 hand.
John Lewis have this for £169.99
Too expensive for only 2GB ram. Pay a touch more for the 3GB version.
Also no compass
What's happened to the g4 play ? not seen it posted for about 10 days ! waiting to get that for my lad

Says compass here?http://m.gsmarena.com/motorola_moto_g5-8454.php

Be careful using gsmarena as the goto for official specs, they always list the specs from the best variation (e.g. It lists 2GB RAM for the G4 Play, but the UK version is 1GB only).

Check the official Motorola UK site. 'Magnetometer' is missing from the list of sensors, although it does have an accelerometer and gyroscope.
i would say this isnt a bad deal for a uk phone but the chinese imports wipe the floor with it
Can't quite compute how this is the lowest price for this phone, at launch, and it's -80. Weird.
I can get this for £135.99 from Very (via mum's
discount). I currently have an s5 with a dodgy camera. Will this be an upgrade?

They keep doing this
Why is a compass important? Does it affect the gps?

not in the slightest, people have lived without it for years, but its one of those gimmicky things iPhone users would say they can't live without and a way of justifying a phones £600+ price tag (iPhone 7 Advert Parody [EXPLICIT])

"The digital compass that's usually based on a sensor called magnetometer provides mobile phones with a simple orientation in relation to the Earth's magnetic field. As a result, your phone always knows which way is North so it can auto rotate your digital maps depending on your physical orientation"
So, this, the £179 3GB version or the £249 G5 Plus?

It's the "2GB Gold at £154.95" as in the title.

Apologies, I meant which of the 3 is the best to get?

Got you! My mistake.
Erm, well it comes down to price?
The Plus is best, then the 3gb then this... so pick the best one you can afford.
I went for this, because I'm not convinced I need the extra gb.
