Agreed, but I think I like the Moto range because they are widely reviewed, specs are easy to compare/understand, I know I'm getting the 'right' phone version and can be bought from mainstream UK stockists without a lot of effort on my part.

Try this link below, the CPW website is horrendous for linking to.

I also got this deal 2 months ago. It was £89 up front, £15/month 1 month rolling contract.
Basically, CPW bundle a sim free phone with a 30 day contract to make their own bundle. You cancel the contract immediately upon receipt (distance selling cancellation period is 30 days) cancel direct with Vodafone and you get the phone for £89. Worst case you pay the initial month, which some people have done due to the hassle with Vodafone, but you're still saving approx £40.

Incidentally, I finally got my initial rental refunded this week.

Bought one of these a few weeks ago. Great phone for me, battery lasts for ages and is quick when browsing the net. I bought mine from Carphone warehouse on a 1 month contract from Vodaphone, £89 + £15 for 1 month, no issues when cancelling contract. Not a technophile so not interested in bells and whistles that I won't use.

Bought one of these for the mother-in-law...hands on it looks and feels better than the specs would suggest. We have a G6+ G5+ and Moto To compare it too and it seems pretty good.

The G6+ is a better spec than the play?

Seems pretty similar specs to the Lenovo K6 Note (though the Lenovo has a 5.5" screen), which I got from Amazon Warehouse recently (won't say how much). Lenovo own Motorola, obv.

Not a necessity for the two I bought for And I refer you to the word I used: similar. The (Lenovo) K6 and K6 Note are slightly different phones, as well.

Thanks I've been mulling between the G6+ and Xiaomi note 5 pro, they seem to be similar spec.
had mine for a while now, great phone, had a few glitches on it though but all ironed out with the last update, great battery life and recharges dead quick, got mine when it was on offer at 02 for £129.99

It's not?
Battery life is epic on this phone, I bought it from Amazon last time it was in a deal. The phone itself lags a bit though . I'm thinkiñg it might be the SD card I'm using as lags/locks up for a second or two and then continues on

I've come from Moto G4+ to RedMi note 5 and am pleased I have.... I like Moto phones, I've had loads but this note5 is remarkable, dual 4G+4G sim, very good performance, easy to make it look like stock android using a simple nova launcher app, every action is quick and responsive and it has a compass which is missing on the Moto G's which is a pain for some.

However I have to say this Moto Play is a fairly decent price for a UK sourced phone and with good support unlike the note 5 that I got recently for £117 from eglobal (with virtually non existent warranty)....however I'd certainly get another note 5 based on experience so far.

I quite like the look of the MotorolaOne as well...but it would need to come down in price a bit to make sense really.
Got the dual sim 3Gb one, not very happy with it and wish I had sent it back when I could, instead I tried to persevere with it - despite it only having two faults really, but they conspire to make it very unlikeable - 1. it is hard to hold, it slips far too easily meaning very easy to drop, it's a bit easier to grip with the case on, (which is something I really don't like I have never had a case on a phone ever, but now I am stuck with having it in an awful plastic lump!). It also doesn't hold too well in a car holder because of this, but less of a problem than in the hand 2. Sound is not good - poor quality and too quiet for calls (even in loudspeaker mode) and crackly when playing music.(commonly complained about). If you don't mind these problems, you would probably love it!

I was originally planning a second one in the household, but have held back seeing I am not happy with this, and can't fob it off to my partner who likes it even less than I do!
Link to CPW for the non-Googlers ;-)

I'd personally go for a Xiaomi over this but for a no-faff, UK sourced, next day delivery at a good price with NFC it's hard to beat.

This or the Honor 9 lite?
How does G6 Compare to the G5?. Each got better merits or should higher number (6) and not 5 mean a higher spec?

Redmi note 5 3gb , redmi note 6 3gb, honor 9 lite
Been using my wifes play phone a lot this week on our half term adventures, spot on GPS, epic battery life, good signal and very good camera. If you want a good looking, long lasting phone which "just works" you can do a lot worse than this, basically stock android too. My wife had a Honor 9 lite before this and much prefers the G6 play

G5 not well regarded as much as the G4 probably because it cost more. G6 seems to be universally praised. The G6+ seems to have the best camera but higher costs around 200.

Agreed. It looks a great phone. The note 5 pro is definitely better value, but with all the hassles of import/warranty.
