So great for kids.

Yes, the signal or lack of is a big issue with the G7 Power. I've had 3 G7 power this year alone. There are serious flaws with the phone signal, wifi bluetooth issues, lack of updates, stuck on boot loop. Unending problems.....And motorola are aware of these problems but refused to fix it instead releasing the G8 as a new product with the fixes. So I would stay the hall away from the phone.

Good feedback. P Smart is £160 though

Worth the extra for a signal .

Was going to buy one of these, but apparently the signal isn't too great.
Ended up getting a Huawei P Smart instead. Still a 2 day battery with normal usage.

Bought the G6 and had to change network from EE to O2. Would not receive any signal on EE.
Good value but no NFC which is a shame!

If I was in a market for a budget phone I'd rather take 4/64GB version of Xiaomi Redmi note 5 from clove and save myself 30quid. Not the latest phone but knowing Xiaomi it will still receive a year or two worth of updates, it's got full HD+ screen and very good battery life (not as good as this beast, though).
This or the moto one nano , specs are almost the same??
Got this for my mam for Xmas upgrade over her two year old Moto C,it has a73 cores surprisingly,so it's no slouch compared to a53 cores, hoping it's a huge improvement over the Moto C which is passed its sell by date

I ended up getting my mum this (also coming from an old Moto):

carphonewarehouse.com/nok…tml

Has been cheaper, but it just seemed to be the best balanced phone I could find for my budget with a 1080p display and good (non plastic) build quality.

Yes! The P Smart is actually decent, the G7 (non power) would be a closer alternative.

Just seems there is such a grey area on available apps, and access to the play store in the near future. Been reading a bit about it this morning, and there doesn't seem to be a definitive answer as yet. I have provisionally ordered a Samsung A40 as a back up until I can make my mind up. Not my area of expertise, phones

Signal is fine. Rock solid on WiFi and voice. Absolutely no difference to my previous Lenovo P2.

That's odd. The OH and I both have G7 powers. Rock solid phone signal via tower and Suresignal, Bluetooth has never dropped in the car over many hours driving and updates are.....up to date! Without doubt the best sub £200 phone I have ever used.
Turbo power..
Work outside and the battery on my Galaxy S7 is now horrendous! Been looking at these because of the battery life. Is it the best phone in the price bracket as haven't got a fortune to spend. Thanks

Couldn't have put it better myself... you have been warned peeps, mines on it's way to cex over the holidays
Same here. I decided against it when I heard the WiFi signal was rubbish. I bought the Xiaomi redmi note 8 pro from Ali express on black Friday and got it a couple of days ago
I've got one of these, been using it for a few months.Signal has been absolutely fine, build is perfectly acceptable, screen is fine. Battery life is brilliant. Call clarity excellent, vastly better than the iPhone I had in my previous job. Camera is mediocre, but so are almost all phone cams.

Give it a month or 2 and come back here and tell us what you think then
You should see the return rate on these units! Over the scale
I’m using one of these for my son and I to go Pokemon hunting. Battery life is great. Don’t even have a sim in it, he tethers off my phone.
Grabbed it off eBay for £72, as a refurb.

This is a good price new but similar of better offers appear quite often.

In terms of cameras this is a false assertion. Take the iPhone 11 series and the Google PIxel 2-4 series of phones. These phones have unique photo processing capabilities, that you won't find on any DSLR or Mirrorless camera. Some phones now are capable of taking exceptional photos. They don't replace a DSLR or mirrorless but it's just false to say cameras in phones are mediocre, many definitely are, but not almost all.

Never had any issues with signal or wifi with my G7 Power, the battery is epic. The camera isn't the best of the best but it's £129. Great phone, its handled everything I've thrown at it.

Moto has stock android which is a bonus vs Huawei bloat
Using a dual SIM version - no signal issues - no bluetooth issues. Only gripe on my dual-sim version is no 5GHz wifi - but aside from that no complaints. I had the Lenovo P2(A42) before which was great, but (as a non-expert) would say the camera on the G7-power is a step up. I have a dedicated camera for holiday photos etc so its not an issue for me, don't play games, but I do stream a lot of video - never even having to consider charging it other than bed time (a habit - not even necessary daily) is a big factor for me.

The P Smart has hardly any bloat and nowhere near as bad as Samsung.
