Did you choose the £15 one instead of the £10?

      Silly me did exactly that.
Got this from the Argos deal. Excellent value for money imo, complete all rounder. Good deal this, heat
Also it accepts 2 SIM cards and an SD card all at the same time
love Motorola phones and would've snapped this up, but no NFC. such a shame. become so used to paying for things on my phone and leaving my bulky wallet at home, couldn't go back to non-NFC phone now... but for those that don't use NFC still a great phone at an awesome price. heat.

Strange it refers to NFC here support.motorola.com/uk/…361

GSM arena says NFC is market dependent. I wonder which market this deal is for?
will this be locked to three?

Just noticed on the website that all their phones are unlocked, good news!
Beware there is a fault with these phones in regards to the headphone jack not accepting most headphones. I learnt this after getting one off Amazon and having to return it.

I don't think the UK version does. Had a look at a few UK stores and they all say no NFC, e.g. John Lewis: johnlewis.com/mot…wer
Hi - Google does not seem to be conclusive, so sorry to ask. Can anyone who has one of these confirm that they are all dual sim in the UK? Many thanks!

Yes - unfortunately I think you are right.
I agree with you using payment with NFC is a doddle and is a must for me.
Lenovo/Motorola can you please just make a P3 already?

This! I'm still using my good old P2 as there's no other phone that would be a good replacement for it. This G7 Power comes close in terms of battery life but everything else is a let down compared to the P2.

EDIT: still a good deal for those after a G7 Power so cheers MrSwitch and voted hot!

The model in this deal is the PAE90015GB

It is a single sim + single microsd card variant, it has no NFC, it works on ALL UK bands and networks, including EE's 800Mhz Band 20 superspeed one!

Supports 15w turbo charging and easy 4 days of use (not hammering it all day of course!) on one charge

Sometimes giffygaffy run out of stock held and forward stock, this is where sometimes, you might get a slightly different model!

      Right

I've tried higher tier earphones - in which the volume buttons only work on iOS but the pause button works on all devices. These earphones sounded fine, no problems, clear sound and the pause button worked. Holding pause button opened Google assistant.

Middle tier earphones - worked fine - android compatible so volume up/down buttons worked fine as well as pause button. Sounded as they should, just like above. Holding pause button opened Google assistant.

Lower tier headphones - decent headphones but on the cheaper side. Sounded fine, again as they should no issues. These don't have any buttons so couldn't test those.

Also since this device is USB-C, I tried with an Apple adapter and it worked fine with buttons and all using the android compat earphones. Sound is much quieter but it's like that with also a Samsung phone I've tried. I wouldn't use this since the phone has an earphone jack but just to put it out there.

Concluding, iOS only compat earphones worked as they should as well as android compat ones with no issues - so practically any earphones/headphones should work as normal, even if they don't have buttons. So pretty much plug and play.

All earphones tested are non-motorola and different brands with different comparability. Shouldn't be an issue at all whichever earphones/headphones you decide to use.

This is the PAE90034GB model with dual SIM and SD on the latest Android 9, PPO29.114-134, June 2019 patch. My device manufacture date is 14/02/19

Maybe it was an issue but to be honest, the earphone port has been around for donkeys years and it's all one basic standard so I'm pretty sure it was just a software issue. Can't see it being a hardware problem for such a basic component.

If you're looking to purchase, I'd go ahead. I've been thoroughly impressed at this price point comparing it to other Samsung 'A' series equivalent devices. This is much superior in all departments imo.

Appreciate the detailed input. Many thanks. I broke my Lenovo p2 screen and recently got boot up issues so had to do factory reset. No p3 so I'll most likely go for this.

Yep, love my P2, but have never had a software/security update (thanks Three). What about the Mate 20 X? Actual battery life isn't quite as good as the P2 apparently, but it is still supposed to be pretty good. Specs are obviously great too (not a downgrade like the Moto G7 Power), but price is double. Also tried the A70 - good battery life, but fingerprint sensor is unusable imo.
