Bargain
I think the standard price for the G8 bandied about is £179 so not a deal I'm afraid, though the phone seems priced fairly well I expect the low resolution screen will put people off. It's starting to look like Motonovo are deliberately trying to confuse people with their product strategy, first there's the One series that was Android One to distinguish from the G series, now is or is not. Now the Power phone in the G series has leap frogged above the standard G to be second in the range.

It isn't released in the UK yet though is it, so is £179 just speculation, or confirmed?

I couldn't 100% say confirmed but I'd be fairly confident it will be. Certainly I wouldn't hail this as a bargain until it is confirmed. The G8 Power is looking cheaper than the expected price I saw which was around £215-220.

Which is best this one or redmi note 8
I don't understand how the g8plus is out before the g8? What's the deal with this

This is a lamer model in comparison with the plus model too.
Cameras not as good, no fast charging either

Why they do this wtf

A 720p resolution on a 6+ inch display is not gonna look great. Only ultra budget priced phones can justify that in 2020.
Hey Switchy How ya doin'?

I have a soft spot for Motorola, as was my first smartphone. Not keen on low res screens though, I've found quality of screen is most important for me. Need big, bright high resolution, cos eyesight & photography.

(keep your old folk away from coughs and sneezes) 🙃

Phone is under £200, hard to expect anything faster than 10W

Phone is 2020 model, last year's Xiaomi giving you 18w. Motorola was known for proprietary turbo charger, 15w/QC2 already a few years old...

Exactly, I wouldn't recommend either. Well at least the A3 has an AMOLED display.

At that price they are very very good handsets.

No one can tell Apple anything . They do what they want and then they tell people to like it

Yes, l just have a problem with the screen res. For me that is very important. If someone is happy with 720p then considering the other specs this is a good buy.
Do you have to send it back to Germany if it goes wrong?

Generally yes.

There might be other reasons. Battery life is improved by slow charging so perhaps that is why. Some markets have different rules too, so the RETGB version of this phone might charge differently.
