They're definitely using the wrong picture on their eBay listing, it says it's an XT1941-4 and has the specs of the Motorola One Lite but shows a picture of a Motorola One Action

Amazing how a thread about a £99 Motorola phone quickly turns into an Apple user bashing thread.

"#MoreMoneyThanSense" MasterYates says, how about, a phone or device that people like? Samsung devices are equally as pricey these days. I've been an Apple user for years, not due to some misplaced loyalty, but because I much prefer their OS to Android.
Open box never used seems to be a new gimmick used by ebay sellers, always good if people report back the quality of the gear they receive and help blacklist sellers if description not 100% true.

Are you fine with importing or does it have to be UK based?

If you prefer UK based or ebay you and can stretch to £125 the Redmi note 8 is a far better buy but also looking at ebay lots of Redmi Note 7's seem to be going for about £100-110 which is a very similar device to the note 8.

I would also look here often for the Huawei P smart 2019, Honor 10 lite (basically same phone) which have had quite a few deals going for £100 or less which are better phones than this also

Hello - Huawei P smart 2019 - I thought Huawei were not going to be using Android any more?

They will still use android

Newer huaweis don't have Google apps preinstalled but the p smart 2019 does have Google apps

Android is open source (AOSP), nobody can stop Huawei from using it. What is banned currently is GMS (Google Mobile Services) for all new Huawei models after the ban was implemented. Models announced before the ban will be fine.
Swtichy I think the other deal here for Moto one Macro from 109 was much better than this. What do you think ??

Talking of the P Smart 2019, If anyone is looking and doesn't mind cash back redemption this deal is amazing, if looking for allowances also maybe (Even not I suppose).

hotukdeals.com/dea…189

£60 overall cost after cash back for the P Smart 2019 for 2 years with O2 (3GB data, unl mins 7 texts). IF you got lucky and Top Cash Back also paid out at £44.10 you would be getting it all for £15.90!! Bar RPI increases thats 66p a month

Only if your G6 needs replacing, sure this is better but if the G6 works there isn't a strong enough case to justify the switch.
Yeah it's still going ok

It's not a about specs software matters. I bought a cheap Chinese brand and it ran so slow.

Worse specced phones run better because of better software

And what Chinese brand was it?

Cheap xiaomi's run very well

And for your information, Motorola phones are Chinese as Motorola is owned by Lenovo

Generally get what you pay for with Samsung high end devices rather than being over priced. Personally pay £20 a month for 24 months for my note 9 which I thought very reasonable.

Quite often a new iPhone had no actual new killer features or innovation.

Horses for courses of course & if anyone is happy with their particular ecosystem that's all that matters

If they have them installed will they continue getting updates? Need to sort out a cheap-ish handset for a relative (needs to have a small form factor + not mediatek proc, otherwise id opt for a moto g6 play).

All existing Huawei devices will continue to receive software updates as planned.

Pixel 2 xl?

An iPhone 11 doesn't have a 720P screen though.
MrSwitch15/02/2020 20:24

Pixel 2 xl?

Definitely but whack Accu Battery on it and check the battery. I have a Pixel 2 and seriously it's ridiculous now, the battery lasts half a day, if I use the phone for a few hours I have to charge it 3 - 4 times a day. It's also not a nice easy open and swap the battery out, the screen needs heating, the battery seperating from the mid frame, it's not impossible but you could easily break the screen then it's useless. I won't change the battery on mine, the phone is worth stuff all now so I'm going to use it as a bike computer when I get another phone.

If you don't need urgently, the next eBay code should get you a b+ Samsung A50 that will likely be indistinguishable from new, possibly even the A70, from cheapest electrical.

The Moto G7 Plus is £149.99 new from Carphone Warehouse at the moment if you factor in £10 tcb and has a pretty decent camera for the price with optical stabilisation.

You could also get an LG G6 in this price bracket in really great condition.
Any idea why these are open box? Are they just returns? Really tempted to get this.

At a guess yes, but I'd suggest contacting the seller for a fuller explanation tbh
