Not a bad price for this phone...

Sharp 4.7-inch AMOLED display – with a bright 316 ppi capability
Android 4.4 (KitKat) and 4G ready
Speedy performance – 2GB RAM, 1.7GHz dual-core processor
Comfortable design – curved back and weighs a light 130g
16 GB internal memory – 2 years 50 GB storage free on Google Drive included
"OK Google Now" – Moto X responds to your voice*
*NOTE: AOV (Always On Voice) feature only works in:
English
French
German
Italian
Spanish

Moto X is ready when you are. It responds to your voice - no touching necessary. Instead of a generic, unhelpful blinking light, information important to you quietly appears on the screen. When you pick it up, Moto X is curved to fit in your hand. Twist your wrist twice, it becomes your camera, and gets the shots you'd otherwise miss. Once you turn it on, Moto X is all yours. Just talk.

Active Display
Moto X is always ready to tell you what you need to know. Instead of a blinking light that doesn't actually tell you anything, information quietly appears on the screen. It doesn't interrupt. It's battery friendly. You don't have to wake Moto X up to look at the time or see your messages. Before you know it, that constant itch to check your phone will be gone forever.

Touchless Control
To use your Moto X, you only need your voice. Without touching it at all, you can get directions, set an alarm or do just about anything—just by talking. Say "OK Google Now" to get started. Say "Do I need an umbrella today?" and it gives you up-to-the-minute weather for your location. Tell it you're going home, and your Moto X will get you there. Because you teach it your voice it's always ready to respond to you. Moto X doesn't guess like other phones do. It knows.

Quick Capture Camera
Moto X knows when you need a camera. Just twist your wrist twice and it's ready to shoot. Touch anywhere on the screen, and you'll get the shot. All in just a few seconds. Its high-quality sensor can capture the darkest scenes or stop motion blur in bright light. With Moto X, you'll always get the perfect shot.

This is the 1st gen model.

Have had both but kept the nexus 5 . Not much between them but I prefered the screen on the nexus 5 , bigger and text looked sharper/bigger on the nexus 5. Don't really like amoled on the moto x .

Better performance than Nexus 5. 16GB version is too low for storage.

Black one is way cheaper. Plus, you can buy a one plus one for that price. Sadly cold, even though I own own last years, I hugely recommend the phone.

be warned, these phones crack a lot on the rear shell. all over Motorola forums

From a much weaker SoC? Nope.

My only gripe with my nexus 5 (and Nexus 4) is that there is no expandable storage. Then again it's a cheap phone for what it does.

I have this phone, love the battery life, screen, active display, and the twist to activate camera

Oops - Ignore that in this instance

"Please note: This is the EU version of the Motorola Moto X, supplied with an EU plug and a UK AC adapter. The warranty is EU wide and valid."

Be careful with Expansys warranty.
I ordered a Nexus4 from them just as N5 was released as price was good (like this one).

8 months later it failed to switch on. I called LG support first to be told that it wasn't a European model (was from Australia if I recall correctly) and LG UK warranty didn't cover it.

Contacted Expansys who RMA'd the device. Kept it for 4 weeks then returned it saying it was liquid damaged and not covered by warranty. Took it for a second opinion, phone had never been opened and there was no sign of liquid damage - all the liquid damage indicators were still white, no marking anywhere on phone when it was stripped.

Decent price phones - but possibly not UK and no warranty.

It looks like Moto X Gen 1.
n no it is not better than Nexus 5.

This is the old Moto X, horrible spec to price ratio.

a misunderstood spec if reviews are to be believed. great price but concern over the story above regarding warranty repair.

Can get these of ebay for £180

Good phone but camera is bloody awful.

Isn't the same phone £50 cheaper on eBay?

Or am I missing something? oO

It is the old one. However, for all practical purposes, the phone has very good performance. Try when you have a chance, it has some clever software/hardware which makes it very efficient.

expansys have the walnut backed one as well which I think looks a lot nicer than the white one.

from private seller? and then he makes claim and phone is locked?

has been the same price since atleast 2 months voting cold

Imo this spec for price is rather high, not to day it lags or anything but not much future proof. I would say go for this only if you want the moto x features. In other terms better of with a g2 or nexus 5 for not much more

Thought the 'submit a deal' form tells you not to c+p promo blurb...

Worth highlighting whether 4G works (I trust '4G ready' the way 'HD ready' applies to a non-1920x1080 TV)

I bought the black sim free one from expansys just over a month ago when it was £225 and its a decent handset. Very fast, lollipop update before expected sometime before christmas and just yesterday upgraded to EE 4G [ been a 3g orange customer for ages ] and the 4G activated yesterday morning and it flies on the x. Ookla speedtest app shows on average between 28 and 33 mbps.

Battery life has been very good, just shy of 2 days with average use [ no games, but push email, texts, facebook, browsing etc ] ... definately better [ for me ] than the nexus 5.

Value is relative ... specs arent important to me per se, as long as the experience is fast and fluid, which it is on the X.

Just my viewpoint.

Link to the 2nd gen version is here (although for £419).

Nice seems battery life is great compared to the nexus 5, which is its main downfall. Agree specs don't give you the full picture of a phone, there's a reason my Oneplus flys compared to my brothers n5 or even the s5,software optimisation! The reason why apple doesn't boast of GHz and ram upgrades, funnily enough they do make up terms like retina display though, have to have some marketing though right?.

the Google 'listening' feature is set to on by default with this phone. turning it off increases the battery life significantly!

Down to £204.99 today! Daily deal

Best phone I ever had. Forget specs, this is swifter in daily usage than any other powerhouse flagship.

Had this because it was a spare phone knocking about before I switched to my LG Nexus™ 5. Performance is brilliant, battery is fine and the build quality is solid and sleek. The standout feature though was definitely the twist for camera motion. Absolutely amazing.

this is a underdog phone the the purist... dont worry about the dual core...

Deal is expired it seems.

Great little phone. Love my Moto X.
