16gb.. its not dual sim though
Well I submitted a price match. Will see if they agree to it....
Don't buy this, spend twice as much and buy an iPhone . go on join the flock
Already own an iPhone 6. Fed up of being bored when using it
JL just approved the price match. Time to buy!
Thanks for clearing up. Heat still added! For a midrange price it's specs are being praised!
I don't understand why the X is so cheap and the G 3 with 16GB is nearly the same price. Am I missing something?
Thanks for sharing. The OnePlusTwo might offer better value for money.

Depends what you want. OPT is missing NFC and splashproof features, so I'd prefer the X Play. You might like the fingerprint scanner and the 4 month wait, in which case OPT for you!

Different specs in terms of power, screen and battery life.
Used my Clubcard points doubling up added £5.00 and await delivery this week
What's the deal with updates? Do they come straight from Google like with Nexus devices?
so is this better than the moto g?

No. Motorola are going for a new tactic called reverse pricing. Their top of the range phone will be £30 and resemble a Nokia 3210.

Not sure. I bought the 16GB for 179 with a voucher. SO its a bit cheaper, Might have considered this though!
this is not the moto x pure edition
I thought the regular price for the G 16GB was 209 or 219? I considered that a bit too steep for what it is. At 179 I might consider it.
Hopefully comes down to around £200 by November when my contract ends.I use the original moto g that I got pretty much when it first came out.Its lasted 2 years not bad for a phone only worth £140 on release.I think the only reason these phones do so well is because they are stock android.I find Motorola's to be my preferred phones.Apples software optimisation is brilliant but they are too expensive and I don't like the OS.Other android phone manufactures have high spec because they need it to be able to run the phone smoothly with all that bloatware.Moto is in between the two they have decent spec (depends on the phone) combine that with stock android and competitive pricing it makes it hard not to want one.

Definitely agree. If only a note 4 or s6 was stock android.... (don't like rooting, voiding warranty, etc)
s5 or this?

s5 or this?

the s5 is a very different phone. It has much better specs than this.

However. I've just purchased this recently. Very happy. Good performance, great battery life, very good phone.

No its not a nexus so the software updates aren't super quick but I'd imagine it'll be next in line due to how Motorola has done nothing software wise bar tweaks and optimisations.
Waiting for Moto X Style which is out any day now and a fair step above the Play....has an rrp of £360 but should be available for a bit less
neuxs 6 vs moto x play?
Not due for an upgrade for a while yet, but I get bored easily. I'm waiting for the release of the new LG Nexus (5X?), and will probably sell my G3 to fund it if I like what I hear.
I am looking for:

* good camera
* 2GB RAM / 16GB FLash
* Gyroscope
* Dual SIM
* Updates

This seems to have everything except the Dual SIM...
Great phone for most people. Had mine 48 hours now, replacing my Nexus 5.
Love the lack of rubbish software.

Including the cashback, mine worked out cheaper than this deal.

My OPT is out for delivery today and I am thoroughly looking forward to it. Although admit the lack of NFC is a shame.

Honor 7 isnt a bad phone either similar sort of price
Moto X Play does not have a gyro sensor, so will not do photosphere or work with cardboard. Will do panorama but only with moto camera. Just in case important to anyone

How does it compare to your Nexus 5?
Now £279.95
Coming from a android nerd, This is an amazing phone and would go to say the best android phone out!

Reasons?
Great software, stock which is best but with some added features that are useful, there notification system when you pickup has saved me so much time turning on the screen and does it in a cool and battery saving way, much quicker, love it miss it now, good specs which with there software optimizations make them on par with phone tha will come out after and match em, high specs do not always mean fast phone!

Camera on this is good not as good as others but 230£ it will get you great snaps, only reason im not using one is the fact I have fallen out of love with 5+ inch phones and bought a z3 compact at 4.7 it feels good in the hand, although there is some bad things about the phone, FLAPS (wont close properly after 2 months now it is not classed as waterproof.. but motorola phones are bread and better

Yes, but it is from Huawei. And Huawei has a terrible track record when it comes to Android updates, while Motorola has an excellent one. The hardware is certainly impressive, but given this issue I find the Honor 7 overpriced.
