I love my z2 Play. Mine came with the soundboost 2 Moto mod. Don't bother, the mod lasted about 5 months.
Phone great, mods are just an over priced waste of time.
Definitely get a case, it's a slippery phone.
I like motorola but for this money better take nokia 7 plus.
Excellent value for money phone, if you're serious about getting it I recommend watching this great review first:
Anyone got any experince with the controler mod? Like the idea of using it for emulators.
Quite expensive and ugly...
Had mine for a couple of months now. Battery life is excellent, charges really fast with the quickcharger. Screen notifications are cool , nice crisp display , no bloatware on it and its getting Oreo 8 soon. Very happy with it.
Is £300 a good price for a Snapdragon 600 series phone when you can get the 820 or 835 SoC handsets for a similar price now?
Android Nougat /7 is 2 years old. Buy Android 8 /Oreo now with Project Treble support. Honor View 10 or Nokia 8 are much better for similar price with better cpu and Oreo

Normally I wouldn’t agree with you but I fully agree with this - Honor View 10 or Nokia 8 I think are better for the hardware you receive, unless you particularly want Motorola (for some reason). Both phones are near stock too. I think the slower SoC and older Android puts me off - I’ve had too many problems with phones running slow that get upgraded to Oreo vs those that run it out of the box.
I am put off Motorola due to updates. I have a MotoG4 plus, it eventually got an update to 7.0 and then stopped, 7.1 fixes alot of issues. Also no security updates since Dec.

It is annoying that they've stopped updating the G4+ as 7.0 because it broke android auto. I think if you buy any phone, regardless of cost, set your expectations very low and assume no updates after 6 to 12 months and you won't be too upset when they don't update.....oddly moto did update the Moto X Play to 7.1 which is older than the G4+ (I have both)

Moto Z3 is about to get released soon - more info here
I've just gone from a faulty Moto Z with horrendous warranty service from Motorola, to the V10. I'd highly recommend this phone. Decent deal at John Lewis at the moment.
I had this phone but sold it the camera was average and updates are shockingly slow I have just purchased a Nokia 6 as a stop gap phone but I have been very impressed updated to Oreo out of the box camera performs above its budget price and excellent build quality I will replace it soon with the Nokia 7 plus
Stay away from this company if you care about after sales support. I have spent hours trying to get an item replaced under warranty which broke after 5 months and they have wasted my time for over 2 months. Worst company ever.

Check out trust pilot if you do not believe me. Buyitdirect and all direct websites are operated by the same company and their reviews are bad for a reason.
