Good phone and good price, there was some deal which involved hours of quidco, redemtpions, reductions, cashback etc etc that ended up about the same price.

Please be extra rough and hard as it's my first deal.

can you say why this is so good a phone --e review?

Heat for the rough and hard comment!

Loving the rough and hard comment!

1. It's not an iphone
ok let's stop with the jokes.
it looks like a pretty damn good deal, considering how thin it is and material built. plus after having owned a xoom for a while now, I'm pretty liking Motorola as manufacturers, they're probably my second choice after HTC.

Can't beat a bit of ruff....

Hot. NOT an an iphone5

no first timer ever wants it hard & rough

you obviously have multiple accounts...

Nice phone also it will have good support in the future Android Operating Systems as Motorola is now owned by Google.

Just bought a second hand Motorola Atrix 4g for £120... been an absolute bargain. A hell of a lot less bugs than my last Samsung Galaxy W

Its £249?

Have this phone on contract, best phone I have ever had. Just had the ics update which works really well, only slight issue is battery life post update but still get a full day from it even with regular use during the day. Hot deal!!

Would like to know how this compares to the Samsung Google Nexus phone

Please be extra rough and hard as it's my first deal.

Self-flagellation is good for the soul sometimes, sir. Heat given.

i also have this phone and would agree best phone i have ever owned, it has never locked up on me always very resposive and is very thin.

ics update works great,

Looks a crackin phone. Not the newest but not 400 quid. Hot from me.

yez good pho e but is this bezt value for price

Hot, now take the heat rough.

This is basically an S2 with better resolution and as such slightly worse performance (but still very good) Not a super price but about right I would say. If you need a contract then the razr max looks much better option as it is this but with a huge battery giving pretty much 2 times any other smartphone.

Bought one of these from expansys in july when they were selling them for about the same price, brilliant phone, runs well if you update to ICS and then flash it with the latest miui rom.

Added some tags for you, more people might be interested in some rough and hard stuff, you know ;)!

Good deal by the way

Gnex without a question.

Case has a bit of Kevlar in it for those who like to play rough and hard.

Nice deal op. Definitely the unsung hero this phone.

Comparison at Motorola website

Thanks for that. Looks like the razr is the best phone for the price.

Unless you really need the expandable memory, better camera, or love white super thin phones the Galaxy Nexus could be the better bet. Bigger screen with a higher resolution - 4.65" 1280 x 720 against 4.3" 960 x 540 and the very slick, very fast Android Jelly Bean is available on it right now and Key Lime Pie very soon after launch.

The RAZR's Quadrant benchmark score of 2667 does beat the Galaxy Nexus' Jelly Bean score of 2295, but this is likely to be due to the extra pixels the Galaxy Nexus has to push around.

It's marketed as splashproof, but that's handy to know. I want to pick up the maxx version when the price comes down it's a shame they're not as popular as in the US.

It's funny, millions in the USA still use the original RAZR flip.

Great phone. Had one for a week before swapping for Galaxy S2. My only complaint was handling. This Moto is very tricky to hold with smaller palms. It is wide for a 4.3" screen and very thin. Also slightly top-heavy. Otherwise a great looking phone. Hardware-wise is more or less on par with Galaxy S2.
Bargain at this price.

I have the Razr Maxx and it is a brilliant phone. However I've check the software updates and there is no Ice Cream Sandwich available yet. Has it been officially released yet?

Updates are incredibly slow with Motorola. If you like timely updates, Motorola is not the OEM for you.

The Razr though should be on ICS by now...

Not sure about razr maxx but standard razr ics update has been released. Got mine as a OTA update 2/3 weeks ago now.

Martin, Whats this screen like in direct sunlight?

I'm on the verge of picking one of these up and migrating from my desire HD which is diabolical.

Whose jealous? Pretty much all comments so far seem positive, you're just stirring it.

Unmatched build quality. Screen is a step down from other phones like Galaxy note etc though.

Derby_lad, i cant say its great in direct sunlight. The screen is great but does suffer with glare. Although saying that if you have a fiddle with the screen brightness and contrast settings you should be able to make this a minor issue. All in all if you can get it at this price or lower its a fantastic deal.

great review
