Answering my own question as well but looking at the review of the San Diego posted earlier it seems the app compatability was fine. would like some confirmation from HUKD members if this is true mind. I just don't know if this phone is really worth the premium over the San Diego. Any thoughts?
I got a payg card from them and trying to speak to an operator is impossible, if there automated service can't understand your name or anything you are stuffed as you cannot speak to a actual person without having credit on the phone as they charge you to speak to a real person. Automated service don't understand you means you can't put credit, which means you can't talk to an advisor.
I tried there online chat help and explained the situation they just said go to an Orange store I asked can I buy credit from a local shop they said no, just at the orange store.
Then on the third day I tried the automated system again and this time it just asked me for my card details, it said £10 was credited, I got an text saying I had £10. I got a tect saying text DOLPHIN if I want to go onto that tarrif which I did so I can test the internet. I got a text back saying we have the package I just selected and ones with more data available and to text back NEW DOLPHIN to go on one of those tarrifs, I didn't text back.
I thought I got 1gb to test so last night I put my phone on wi-fi over night, go to use it today on mobile internet and it's not connecting to anything, then I get the oragne mobile homepage saying Sorry you don't have credit to view this page, earlier I got a text message saying you have 0.91p left. I've been trying to connect to the internet and restarting my phone and everything and making sure the Orange settings were selected in my phone. I just decided to call them, automated nightmare and then they tell me I can't speak to an operator as I don't have enough credit. Search online to work out how to check my balance, check the balance and I got a nice zero balance, after no calls or text and maybe 5 minutes of internet surfing yesterday lol and the only way you can speak to them is if you put more credit on or go to the shop.
I downloaded around 50 apps for mine, including Temple Run 1,2, FB, Twitter, Angry Birds and loads more. I tried around 120 or something apps to check the availability and EVERYONE worked. Don't worry about it.

Plus £10 topup
Great deals never last long
Also candy crush doesn't work on this and neither does the tomtom apparently
Depending on how much this bothers you oO
Not cheqcked if it is locked but mine has no orange branding or bloatware at all
Still £10 is still better than nothing
The only app that failed for me was Candy Crush so it proves there is a god!! ;-)
1GB
Worth viewing for some possible battery issues when doing the firmware upgrade over the air although mine was fine.
The sale only started today, so it could not have had QC £30.
Would recommend and much better than my old Orange San Francisco but obviously it is not as good as a Galaxy S3.
Gadget Show seem to think it's as good as S3 and iPhone 5

Agree was defo showing £30 when I logged in to buy it
I hear you bro, G300 is just getting unusable. No matter how much I tweak it.
Thanks again for this Very happy to finally get one at a decent price.
I agree with the above. Just switched from Blade. I got on the tesco deal at £15 pm and as I was already on a sim only deal at £10 pm it's basically an extra fiver so I worked on basis that phone costing £120.
Very impressed with battery life only charging every couple of days.
Overall very happy :-)
