This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

I can't believe it's that cheap, must be due to the Nexus 7 being released.
The cheapest a I could find recently was £359 on eBay.

Please remember this is a 3G model.

Potential price £241.46 via TCB

Please don't be hard on me as this is my first deal, thanks in advance

OH NO! NO QUAD CORE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Do some research muppet.
Great deal. I am using ICS on my Touch pad, and prefer it compared to my iPad. Just talking about the OS... this is hot!

Yeah I recently dug out my touchpad, can't believe how slick it is on ics and unbelievable quality too, kinda makes this seem expensive, even with the 3g.
This looks like the 16Gb model, fyi also looks like no micro SD also (like the Nexus 7).
Aren't the Xooms the reference models for Android? Meaning that rooms and updates are quick and easy?
If I didn't have the Touch pad, I would be all over this...
No SD slot!
I saw this while looking at the other thread for the larger screen HMV Xoom (1). Seems like a backward step?

no only the original Xoom is a google reference device. Unless you are desperate for 3G the nexus 7 16gb is a much better option
Most the reviews quote very poor battery life.
Xoom 2 was a flop, hence the price. Mah as well get transformer prime at 400. but at this pricem its great.
8.2" screen is better but not good as 10.1"

And then only in the US. UK Xooms were still awaiting ICS last time I checked.

8.2" screen. avoid this.

I personally prefer 10" tabs, but why do you say avoid this 8.2"? Just curious.
EDIT: Just saw that the 10" version is also £250: carphonewarehouse.com/mob…M-2

Ok good then for those who need 3g.

Personally I would still go for the xoom 1 because of the SD card slot.

That's the wifi only one. The 3G one is £299.50.

Good price and great size for those who need 3G portability
I think CPW do decent Quidco/TCB too!
1% NOT EVEN WORTH THE MUCKING AROUND.
Does it have an SD slot ??? (_;)
I have the WiFi version of this tablet and I real like it. At £250 the price seems pretty good but not amazing. I think list price was £320 WiFi, £399 3G. They have the WiFi one for £199 which seems a a better deal to me unless you really want 3G.

I tried out lots of tablets, 10" was bigger than I wanted and 7" felt too close to my phone. I use it for reading magazines, books and websites on the train so 8.2" and a high screen resolution seems perfect. I don't understand the comment to avoid 8.2" either.

As for battery, it is a little poor, I get about 6 hours for reading, a bit less if playing graphics heavy games. As mentioned its16Gb with no upgradable storage. Currently runs very well under honeycomb, ICS expected later this year.

Interesting features are the built in IR, but the software for controlling the TV is functional but not great so I don't use it much.
Unless you absolutely need the 3g this seems cold.
Both Wi-Fi and 3G already posted.

Nope the 3G one is £249

In that post we are clearly talking about the 10" Xoom 2 which is £299.50 3G. Link please if you can prove otherwise.

Does the Xoom 2 have an IPS screen or just a TFT screen?
Honeycomb..... I'll avoid any android tablet without ICS, you may quote sources that ICS will be released soon but Android updates are extremely slow and unreliable. IMO the Nexus 7 is the starting point for Android tablets.

Which is why this appears to be the better deal, comes with instructions to GED it.

Very nice tablet for the money, and I would have this over the Nexus 7 any day. But 16gb with no option to increase storage is just not enough for a media device. Excellent find OP and voted hot from me.

As a general statement, thats garbage.

It depends entirely on the quality of the screens in question and what size of tablet and level of portability you're after.

I had a 10" tablet and found it a bit cumbersome myself. Have since sold it on.

At 1280x800 (184ppi), this has a sharper screen than 1st and 2nd gen iPads ....

Root + USB OTG adapter + StickMount (app) or USB Watcher (app) and you can add as much storage as you like I think ....

(Albeit external to the device itself but carrying a 32gb USB stick in your pocket wouldn't be a big hardship I guess ...)
No custom roms. No ICS. No JellyBean.
You'll be stuck on Honeycomb.
Beware.
Watching the space for Xoom 3 to be reason for dropping price, though good deal.
