Great price imo. Brought mine from Amazon a week ago for £210 and its a great improvement over my Fossil Gen 4. Highly recommend this.
And also has a pointless 1 day battery
Yeah you should check out the gen 5 too. Looks the best out of all the smart watches
See Apple you can make a good looking Smartwatch.
Do these still have useless 1 day battery life?
July Black Friday???
Hi, did you ever find out what the UK warranty status is?
When it arrives Thursday I'll see what the paperwork says.
Do you get a standard Amazon warranty that you claim in the UK for Amazon overseas purchases?
Cheers pal (y)
Don't quote me but I think the g8 plus also has the action cam. Only works for video though not still. I don't own either thought was just from reading up on the g series and one series.
Correct...Have owned 27 phones so far in 2020...25 had NFC capability... Didn't use it on any 😁
G8 available in Neon blue G8 Power Lite in Artic Blue Hopefully will be useful to someone with the additional warranty Confirmation received that mine is coming directly from Lenovo tomorrow via DHL
Note for everyone following this, now in stock and 179.99 at John Lewis
Paying for stuff with your phone.
Agreed that the pixel 3a is a good phone and i would have gotten one myself but for the poor 3000mah battery in them (devil)
Only a few negative about this phone. 4 GB RAM is not the best and Motorola always lacks with the software updates. In this price range the pixel 3a phones are better choice.
Seems a decent phone. You'd think they'd put a 7 series snapdragon in them though at this price point (skeptical)
Could you tell me how long is the max shutter speed in manual mode in the camera? I believe 4 sec but not sure.
Pretty sure that's been the price since launch. Certainly that's what I paid a few weeks ago. A decent enough phone. Nothing outstanding about it but very good VFM. Camera is Ok but nowhere near Pixel 3A quality.
I've put a Three 12gb data only sim in mine, there's a Three blackspot at the back of my house in a kitchen extension. When the sim first went in it had no bars at all in the extension, after the phone had applied an OS update and the Three app had been installed I rebooted it a couple of times and it's now getting 3-4 bars. Neither of these should have in theory changed the signal strength, it's now in a silicone case with a quad lock on the back, a glass screen protector fitted and Nova Launcher skinned to perform as Pixel 2 with live wallpapers running. It's performing well and the battery capacity is huuuuuuuuugggggggggggeeeeeeeee........
I got my phone today, but reception is less the half sometimes no signal at all, is anyone else having problem?i put sim in and out few times still same, its on three mobile sim and signal is ok on my old phone,
Thanks for the info mjr600. I've signed up for the alerts, so hope I hear something soon.
Thanks for the info dblake. (y)
No delivery notification. Had 3 emails in total from them; confirmation of order on 24/2, despatch note on 27/2 and formal invoiced on 3/3. Good job I was in today and not still stuck in Edinburgh!
Same iisue,wheres the store?????
Same here. Deal expired?
Same issue here - which site are these codes for??
how on earth do i buy anything from motorola themselves - only options for any of the phones are links to other websites?
I think it is dual sim as it is purchased direct from Motorola store, but it comes at the cost of not having NFC (single sim only). https://www.motorola.co.uk/products/moto-e-gen-4 (expand specification at bottom of page)
Thanks OP (y) Took a while to arrive but I'm quite happy with it.
Aha, I see! I checked a bunch of other models and they allow you to choose,, e.g. Amazon, Clove, Argos etc.
I am talking about the buy button on the moto site. It is a link to the Argos site. It is red for the C Plus, which the 'get deal' on HUKD takes you. Red colour seems to be for Argos, other models have a blue button which are either sold by moto or through the mobile networks. So it looks like the C Plus and others are no longer sold directly by moto. It is not just about price because only moto would sell certain variants like C Plus with 2GB RAM. Argos is 1GB for sure and possibly even single sim.
But that deal is not for just the phone, you are signing up to be on a contract so not a good comparision. Works out £74 plus £15 per month. Agreed you can cancel after 1 month but then that means you have spent £89!
I can't even see a 'buy' button. The 'Get deal' link takes me to the Motorola site.
Has anyone managed to get a memory card to work in the G5? I have an English G5, and bought a Sandisk 128Gb class 10 A1 Card. I have formatted it in the phone and it's reported as corrupt. It's a common problem on the G5 and the G5S. I'm hoping the Oreo update due soon will fix it. I've looked all over different forums for an answer, but have been unable to find one so far! Can anyone help?
Aren't these just the regular prices?
Yep UK charger. band 20? Means nothing to me soz!?
I missed out on this.. but it's the same price (more or less) at CCL: https://www.cclonline.com/product/240844/PA7V0009GB/Mobile-Phones/Motorola-Moto-G5S-Smart-Phone-Lunar-Grey-/MOB0054/
Anyone know someone who has bought one of these black X4 from Moto UK, it is a slightly different spec than retail, and wants to sell it.
Takes price down to £299.
MOTOX4 code no longer works. ;(
Oreo just release today for my X4, updating as I type, apparently much faster now than on Nougat.
What's so difficult to understand here?? G5S and G5S Plus, simple. This G5S phone is actually surprisingly fast & smooth,a decent performer when I tried one as is the camera too. Camera on this is better than the G5S Plus. Using the same SD430 CPU as Nokia 6 i found the Motorola much smoother
Only seems a few months since the G5 was released! They really need to slow down, they're already diluting/confusing their product line enough as it is (skeptical)
Just added the G5s to the basket and applied the code, still works. Not expired (the G5S Plus is oos though). If anyone still wants to use this it seems to be ok....
They will all start going out of stock and/or being sold off cheaply once the G6 series is released (about 5-6 weeks from launch).
indeed, you also cant swap the sim on the go either because you need a little pokey thing to poke the sim tray out, I guess you could attach it to your keys, but you shouldn't have to really, just a badly thought out design IMO.
Yeah heard good things about JL on here to be honest. Never thought to try there for mobiles. It was purchased off Motorola direct so all online, strongly worded emails etc. Not dropped the week and a half I had it. Possibly during transit but who knows
Cubot do similar decent phones but do not offer anything exciting
I've always been a fan of the Moto range (currently using Moto G5 Plus). Similar priced phone for comparison would be Huawei Honor 7X https://store.hihonor.com/uk/item/209699837/index. Anyone had an experience of the 7X yet? ALthough £30 more it comes with the Honor Band 3 free of charge which you could probably sell for £30.
Did you do it online or in-store? Should've bought through JL who accept returns a lot more simple. Weird the phone developed dead pixels, that almost never happens unless it is dropped
Incredible front and rear cameras both with flash, insanely quick operation, massive screen, finger print sensor, gorilla glass, full metal body with no flex, dual SIM, expandable memory, bright, HD, crystal clear phone to name a few. I don't know why this deal is getting so much heat when JL had it same price with 2 year warranty and free high quality headphones though. I challenge you to find a better phone for a better price which doesn't come from Gearworst or some other China website which gives it no useable warranty.
wouldn't unlocking void the warranty though?
Paid £40 for mine from O2, as for screen it is the worst i have ever seen and beware any buyers of this phone mine is going back to due a fault on most of them where it keeps restarting even when shut off but dont worry Motorola have found a fix..... turn the wi-fi off https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/forums/v3_1/forumtopicpage/board-id/Moto_C_1st_Gen/thread-id/122/page/1 Avoid if i were you, oh yea £2 unlock fee on ebay worked for me All1
They pulled it saying it was a duplicate!? Don't think it was, because I can't find the other one they claim its a duplicate of...
Made an order on the 8th and just got the phone this morning. Thank you!
Not working - expired?
Is this the best sub £100 andoid mobile out there? Or how abou the Samsung J3 or the Honor 6a?
NOT WORKING FOR ME EITHER :-(
Hi, is this deal now dead? Code not working. ;(
Definitely showing as out of stock now.
Just realised there's cashback on this too, via TopCashBack. Took my total to £100.39
I dunno. If I bought a special fancy camera attachment for my phone, I'd expect it to be at least as good as the in-built camera, at any zoom level. As it is, to take the best close-up photos possible, you'd have to take this off, which makes it not much better than those cheap, clip-on generic zoom lenses. Plus the ergonomics are stupid - with all that wasted space at the back, they could have included an extra battery, a bigger speaker, a QI charger, maybe even a projector, and it would've used up just as much pocket space. I really wanted to like this, and I've come close to buying it a number of times, but there are just too many tradeoffs and missed opportunities. I'll stick with my Samsung Galaxy K Zoom (with the Araree Autopop case to prevent dust ingress) until something better comes along
Coming up as in stock for me. It's a very convoluted shopping process!
I see they list Magnetometer in the specs, so that looks like a compass but do we really trust Moto's specs which have been known to be wrong in the past!?!
Missing from specs, Motorola do not like seem to include a compass in a lot of their phones recently.
I think you are right, does not seem like a big step up, i was about to buy the £259 G5s plus for my son from John Lewis for £259 but they no longer deliver to n.ireland which is bizarre so was considering this for £30 more but can see no real benefit, back to the drawing board :(
Hi, could any please PM me a unidays code please.. looking to replace my aging nexus 6p. Hope someone can help! Thanks in advance
Just ordered mine for £97 too
Mine arrived today £97 using ukwelcome10 and unidays code, i don't have unidays account but just look it up on twitter and message a random stranger that does, works 50% of time. Also Quidco/TCB
it is irrelevant, but i do work at Canary Wharf and wouldn't buy iphone X 8)
Where does it say he lives in Canary Wharf? Have you never had anything delivered to your place of work? Did you mean *you're living ...." rather than "your living....." ? Thought so!!
If you going to go for a Moto phone (and I'm not at all sure it's a good idea anymore) the Moto G5 has been £120 before and will likely be again this month, making this redundant.
Unfortunately both the colors are out of stock :(
Bluetooth 5.0, can send audio to up to 4 speakers or other devices
Updates will be more regular than other android phones as it's a pure android meaning it will get the latest updates and security as Google Pixel phones.
Fingerprint sensor in the wrong location but it's still a nice phone. Wouldn't pay more than £300 for it. People who cite Chinese phones with no warranty; it is not comparable.
It's a lot of money for not a lot of phone! Added to that the fact that Moto are dire when it comes to keeping their devices up to date with the latest security patches and versions of Android.
Three Motorola's in my family - all work just fine and never had a failure - just sayin'
Thanks again OP, mines been dispatched and only been charged £5.
Sadly no longer working, but thanks OP!
doesn't work, expired.
This deal has left me shell shocked
Doen't work for me.
