Bought some when it was at the £10 for a crate of it, and Ive just been back to get some more for £6, should last me a while at uni.

They are also on offer 4 for £1 in the store if it works out at 25p each, same price as a big pack.

I won't vote cold, but total waste of money these energy drinks.

Look at the ingredients, it's just water and sugar, little bit of caffine.

You could say the exact same thing about any soft drink they are just water, sugar and flavourings.

Mountain Dew reminds me of a slightly iffy tasting Sprite, I'll have to get a crate if I'm passing by.
25p for 500ml of any softdrink is cheap, for added energy its a steal.

Thanks for not voting cold and I do agree but these type of drinks seem to keep me going on my night shifts and I'm sure I burn off the extra calories.Plus it's cheaper and more thirst quenching than other leading brands.

fantastic price heat added op nice find

Yay diabetes for the low price of £6...........

Do the energy drink taste like the original stuff? As I've only tasted the original and thats really nice in my opinion.

Cheap way to top yourself if you drink 'em back to back.

No they don't. Avoid it, not the same. I buy imported mountain dew from USA

Those Porsche cars are a right waste of money.

I mean look at what they use to make them, its just metal and plastic.

Mountain Dew Energy is the best soft drink available I love the stuff, great price, thanks for posting OP.
It is high in sugar 30g/100ml but if you're expending plenty of energy it's great stuff, tastes better than Lucozade anyway!

They're not the same as the "proper" American drink but taste similar. Essentially there are not as many colouring and flavourings as the proper stuff - hence it's a clear drink in a green bottle rather than the bright yellow/green drink you may be used to. The "energy" bit is just UK marketing.
Having said that, this is a hot price.

It's not really an energy drink, it's more of a soft drink, but called an energy drink because it contains so much sugar, more than coke, pepsi, fanta, etc.

I like mountain dew, but the UK version isn't the same as the American version, which has even more sugar.

This Mountain Dew Energy drink tastes nothing like the Mountain Dew that is sold in the states, which you can buy at American shops in most city's in the UK but at about £1.50 a can. Wish supermarkets here would sell the original MTN dew.

Actually, this isn't clear. Pour some into a cup and you'll see it's like a greeny yellow.

Definitely getting some of this after work! Heat!

Yeah, I know. What I mean is that it's nowhere near as colourful as the proper drink.

Cheers OP! Sell on for £1 each, nice little profit!

Wait wait wait wait...are we comparing soft drinks to cars now? Because if we are Mountain Dew is a Vauxhall Vectra at best.....with no airbags....and a boot full of sugar

Still cheaps cheap, voted hot

Excellent find OP. Thanks for sharing.. I buy 1 of these every day without fail so this will definitely save me some £££.

P.s. This is a nice tasting energy drink with NO Taurine or other vile additives like that. High sugar level, yes, but what do you expect? It's a soft drink haha.

Peace out guys!

Definitely prefer the American version (and varieties) which sadly are technically banned in the EU (hence why the more well known american food shops don't sell it - at least one place had all their cans confiscated by pepsico!).
There are a few Facebook groups campaigning for getting the US version to the UK anyway.

Got some today last batch left. They are also selling them 4 for £1 separately.

Thanks OP. Will make a trip to my local tomorrow for a crate.

Very nice. It's funny over here how it legally has to be called "energy" because of the sugar content but in the states it's just a normal drink. Hahaha!

Yuk... this stuff is bad. But, this is not about taste, but good deals, thus... HOT DEAL

good price although it would be more economical to boil your own urine and drink that.

****. I was in the US a few months ago and ordered a mountain dew as a comparison for the one we get here.. it tastes exactly the same!

The stuff from Dubai and Asia is the best if you're a fan, no caffine like the UK version but still made with sugar rather than the corn syrup in the American version. so it remains fizzy for longer than 30 seconds after opening.

Most Polish food shops are carrying it, get the glass bottle if you can.

Re. my earlier comment, I've just been drinking some Mountain Dew Energy (as I often like to do at 4am) I read the nutritional information and find that it only contains 12grams/100ml of sugar and 18mg/100ml caffeine, Coca Cola contains 10.6grams/100ml sugar and 11mg/100ml caffeine.
I'm quite disappointed it's so healthy really, I'll have to drink twice as much in future...

I think original MD was available in the UK 15-20 years ago maybe as I'm pretty sure I used to drink it in green cans? I'm an addict am going to buy some imported stuff if I can find it anywhere.

Think I'll join you! ...in no doubt a completely separate branch of course.

I found a pack of 24 in the Farmfoods store in Newcastle (Slatyford) and 3 bottles were missing. I asked someone if they had anymore and he told me that there were no more bottles left but they were 50p each or 4 for £1, so I got 12 bottles for £3. Expiry: Nov '12.

Excellent deal.

None left in Lancaster branch. Advertised at 4 for £1, 50p each. Shelf was cleared, with one solitary bottle remaining.

Because we are extremely fickle over here. Where as American's just don't care.

Try bringing some US stuff back next time and trying them side by side, they're not the same but the UK version isn't too bad. Used to drink this in the UK in the early 90's, gutted when it went. When we go to the USA I rarely drink anything else.

tried both branches of Farmfoods in Cardiff over the weekend but to no avail - this offer was clearly too good to last!
