They're no different to the likes of Trespass, Regatta, Hi-Gear, etc... in that they offer "decent" quality gear for appropriate prices. If you're after more technical clothing then you're likely to pay more for respected brands, but for basics and kids gear Mountain Warehouse are fine.

To be fair...Mountain Warehouse quality is substandard compared to most other brands. Try ordering a simple fleece or a pair of gloves and you'll soon find out it's poor, even when compared to other companies in the same price range.

I took a mountain warehouse fleece, thermal socks and snow boots to Harbin (China) in January. It was -27C and we were outside for 6-7 hours. They all performed admirably. So, from my experience at least, your statement is false

Can't agree with that. My young kids and I have plenty of "basics" (i.e. fleeces, t-shirts, etc...) that are anything but poor. My little boy also has a great little rucksack that has lasted for ages.
I Must Admit some credence should be given to the nay Sayers at lest regarding their footwear I purchased a pair of Hiking Boots when we were hiking in the lake district, as my trusty regattas split after 2 years of hammering , i dint want to buy an expensive one without research so i stopped at the first out door shop i came across and got a pair of water proof hiking boots for around £60 , thought i good a great deal however after another hike in the Yorkshire dales i was feeling every pebble or anything i walked over,. in essence I used it for 2 hikes and the soles have almost dis- integrated , the rest of the boots are fine to look at which ridiculous.the Regatta boots were cheaper but lasted over 2 years , these 2 months and barely 2 hikes

I did buy a fleece a jacket and some trousers on a whim these im happy with , for the cheap prices i paid they are excellent .
but the footwear is a big NO!!

Overall deal is hot for anything other than footwear fom my personal experience..

Agree with this - for footwear (especially "waterproof" hiking boots!) I'd definitely go with a better technical brand. I know you didn't have much choice at the time, but there's no way I'd spend £60 on a pair of Mountain Warehouse boots when you can often get a pair of Merrells or Berghaus for the same price on Amazon.
Poor quality, very thin fleeces n tops, don't like them, didn't get any refund from them for the goods returned, simply said we haven't received returned goods and customer service never reached on phone,

Will Avoid them for life! Will be happy to see them go off market, so customers are not befooled by their fake discounts

Like you say i had little choice , i was fooled by the appearance , which really did look good and the sole felt flexible but good , how fooled was I.
Thanks! Boots ordered 😁

I've had some Regatta hiking trainers wear out in a few months, so you never know.

Are shoe makers deliberately using rubbish soles these days??

Thats true , had a look at some regatta boots a couple of months ago , i didn't take the bait they looked bad , the above incident happened about this time last year , so the Regatta's I had were about 3 years Old, quality is certainly not there now, case in point I still use a 8year old Regatta 35L rucksack which is excellent , the one they sell now are terrible , Id say tesco Rucksacks they used to sell are much better.

Seems cost cutting has got to a ridiculous level .

Why is this expired? Deal seems live to me
Fake discount - just google the name of the product and you will see its never been the price they say.

However I am pleased with my purchases especially the Glacier Extreme Mens Long Waterproof Jacket I bought as its a very generous size.
