Just to prevent people from being confused, this is NOT Microsoft Movie Maker or similar.

It's just basic app that just happens to be on the Microsoft App Store - the software isn't from Microsoft though.

iirc it's not really a "movie maker", it's more of a "create a video collage with your photos" or "stick those rubbish drunken holiday videos from your phone together in one"...

PS It is NOT Microsoft Movie Maker... which isn't much better but is a bit... the Devs support is a hotmail address...

I'm not bothered because I got it in time.
If you have Windows 10 you can just use the built in movie maker - open "Photos" and click on stories, it'll automatically create a movie with what ever you through at it. If you dont like it you can edit it or do your own project.

I don't think that Microsoft created it. Looks like V3TApps; whoever they are.
I`ll stick with Vegas pro
I just want a 'simple' program that will allow me to delete parts of movies (ie those bits that contain ads) nothing more.
The movie may be 500MB or more. Is there anything out there?

I'm on 4.1.4 on one of my PCs, can't remember the other... but later versions get adverts and some stuff sidelined to the "pro version".

Plus I seem to recall that they tried to install "other software from carefully selected partners"....but I may be wrong on that one...

Vegas Movie Studio is at the mo. I posted earlier today.
I’ll stick with iMovie. Thank you!

My preferred app is called quik from the company go pro. It's free and been around for over a year. Seems to do the same job from what I'm reading. It's brilliant and results are amazing. All you do is select pictures and maybe a 10 second or less video and it generates a moving collage as a video with music. play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.stupeflix.replay

haha. Yes, it's usually easy to avoid if you do a custom install. Maybe I'll try 4.1.4.
Old version has only up to freemake 3.2.1.5

HitFilm Express is way more than your average user needs and too complex for most. It's brilliant for the price...of £0.00 though.

Freemake! What a bars***d program! I hate those programs which claim to be free, but then they are impossible to use in any way without restrictions. This one brands the video it produces with its own logo, slows the conversion program down and apparently puts black bars on the videos it makes. These will be removed IF you pay $22! Probably there are more essential features which you need to pay more for. Really not worth bothering with.

That's why I use an older version, there are no restrictions in the old versions....
I'm going to stay with iMovie, but if it works well it's a good deal for those that don't have Macs.

Don't bother with this. Has corrupted the hard drive of my phone and is killing the processor. Battery life has suffered even when the app isn't running.

Ice cold, just like the weather outside.

Kindest regards
Just tried this. Complete rubbish - very, very limited photo slideshow maker with terrible UI and v.limited editing options. Timeline is awful as it doesn't preview items properly.

Uninstalled - just a waste of disk space.

COLD.

How the hell has this junk got heat?

It's terrible, not official MS, and is "made" by someone who uses Gmail and Hotmail addresses as Support option.
