Bought these last week when they were £34.99. Can attest to the fact that the ANC does indeed work. The sound quality is pretty good too, so much so that I've ditched my faithful old Corsair headset & am using the Mpow for gaming.
Nothing but good things to say about this headset, well worth 30 quid
Good deal, heat given, thanks op.
I've ordered them. If they are indeed rubbish, they will go straight back to Amazon
Can you use these for purely noise cancelling?

A from fakespot! Interesting! I have some light qc25 at work wired and a heavy pair of wireless plantonics at home. Both great at noise cancelling.

I like the H1....tried H7,didn't think they were as good...the one thing I did with the H1 was put some sennheiser foam in each side, just the foam over the speakers not the pads.
I think H1 now are £28.99......I bought mine when they were £12-£15.

Would you recommend them say, for drowning out a ridiculously annoying colleague with a nails-on-chalkboard voice?

Not necessarily. ANC tends to do a great job of stopping relatively constant background noise (like aircraft wind noise) but is less good at zapping stuff that constantly changes...like human voices. You might even find the irritating person's voice is even more pronounced!

That said, for £30, I would still buy these and give them a go. They might work. Failing that you could always trade them on eBay for a bottle of strychnine!
Voucher value decreased to £8, so price increase. Can someone please edit?
Voucher now only £5
Just spent 12 hours on a plane & got the best night's rest ever! Quite amazing just how much wind noise is blocked out by these cheap MPOW headphones once you turn the ANC button on.
The £10 voucher is back
I've just ordered some sennheiser momentum 2 wireless from outlet for £115. Should I be getting these and comparing? - this is my 1st purchase for what I would call 'proper' headphones...

I think it would be a good idea to compare. I'm also very impressed with these on a recent flight. It was almost unbelievable the amount of background noise that was cut out. Can't go wrong for £30.
