Interested in your thoughts on how the MPOW stack up against the Zolo …Interested in your thoughts on how the MPOW stack up against the Zolo sound wise.

No worries. Here's some early impressions based on a couple of hours:

They're tiny! Charge case is similarly small but a weird, slightly awkward fat shape.

MPOW's have IMO a more balanced sound. Zolo's can be a bit bass-heavy. Whether that's good or bad is down to personal preference. For me it's a win.

MPOW are louder at a given phone volume.

MPOW have an annoying little LED that flashes every few seconds.

Supplied tips are poor. Again the tapered SoundMagic tips were saviours. Isolation is good with the right tips.

Now a Biggie.... MPOW connectivity is noticeably poorer. Walking down to the station today I couldn't turn my head to look while crossing the road without the MPOW cutting out. Also any wide/open areas caused stutters and drop-outs. The Zolo haven't experienced a single issue in a week of use.

Hope that helps. I'll be taking them out for a wander round the city centre at lunchtime today. I'll update with any further observations.

Thanks, ordered a set to compare to the Zolo Liberty's I picked up last week.

Anybody got any thoughts about how they stack up? The Zolo's were £42.99 but have better battery life. But if the MPOW sound as good as are made out I may return the Zolo's.

Edit: should say I'm pretty happy with the Zolo. Battery is excellent, connection rock-solid and sound is good with the right tips (borrowed from SM-E10 ). But if these sound as good (or better) for less £’s I'm happy to sacrifice some battery life.

Voted hot, I read about these a while ago and the reviews were really good, some suggesting these are the best earbuds under 50 USD.

Rather confused with the play time, I was under the impression the battery lasts 6-7 hours after each charge and this was one of the reasons I was considering to get these. I may have to read again, but the battery was one of the upgrades from the T3 version.

I've been sitting on the fence for tws for a while, I feel they are not up to wired standard yet to be paying £200 plus for a proper set. These will do me until the technology gets better.

Interestingly there are a few new variants coming to table.

Some reviews of the Mpow T5 suggest 6-7 hours playtime on one charge.

Yeah it's more the charge case. The Zolo quote 100hrs for the case and 8hrs per charge for the buds. But TBH 40 odd hours is still absolutely fine.

Edit: just delivered. Need to put the kids to bed before I can play with them....

Have I missed this? Can't see the £10 off, only off the £59.99 option.

Thanks for the feedback It was all going so well till "The Biggie"

I've a cheap pair of wireless Mpow's at the mo, amongst others and they're always my goto's. T5 rave reviews aside, I was curious as to real user opinion Vs sales hype.

It's a pity, as the sound really is quite exceptional for the price.

Another quirk I've noticed is that they don't always connect reliably to my phone when i take them out of their case. Had a few occasions where I've had to put them back in and take them out a few times before they'll connect. Neither the Zolo or my Sony WF-1000X have exhibited this behaviour.
Mine are arriving today I'll do some testing and feedback also. I don't have a problem with them not always connecting out the box but the disconnecting turning your head concerns me so fingers crossed.
Thanks for the honest reviews, put me off :-)

I'm interested to know if the aptx is going to make much of a noticeable improvement when connected to Xiaomi Poco f1 which does have aptx. Plus hoping the touch function is useful and reliable my order supposed to be arriving today!

would these work independently?

Yea same, i want good sound and reliable connection. Good thing is Amazon have good returns process so ill decide if i am keeping them this weekend.
Took them out at lunchtime. Good news is they don't seem to be as susceptible to interference as the WF-1000X. Generally they were fine whilst walking with just the odd drop or stutter here and there. Sadly I still saw significant drop-outs if i turned my head, and they would cut-out completely at some intersections (combination of turning my head to look around and the big wide roads in 4 directions methinks).

Bit of a shame really, as I like the sound and the cheap price. But the only reason I've been looking for something to use in place of my WF-1000X was the poor connectivity they suffered. The MPOW are better but still not great (IMO), whereas the Zolo's are absolutely rock-solid in this regard. So I think that's my mind made up and the MPOW are going back.

Ha Ha! It's maybe not so much size as density that's the issue!

In all seriousness I've perhaps just been spoiled by using the Zolo's for a week. Those things are utterly unflappable. Even my dense head caused them no issues!

So they arrived and been using them past hour connected to a Huawei mate 20 pro.

First impressions tips hurt my ears so changed to smaller ones supplied. It's always important to get a proper fit before judging. The eq was way off, could be my phone though it has Dolby Atmos enabled. I tweaked the sound using the eq in my settings while playing Octavian Lightning. There's more than enough bass it's not super controlled but it's definitely punchy enough and pleasurable better fit is giving better bass. It did distort a bit but I had them cranked up full so I just tweaked it down a bit. Vocals are clear and the soundstage is decent but does feel cramped on a complex track.

Also had my phone in my jeans pocket jacket on and I'm turning my head no disconnecting it only started doing in when I left my phone downstairs and started walking upstairs.

After 1hr usage I'm happy on their performance especially for the price as there's a lot of trash about. I'm no audio expert but I like my music and they sound good enough for me so far.

Think you will be happy enough just play about with the tips an eq. I think I got some comply tips around somewhere I will try too as they are much more comfortable in my ears.

Let us know!
I'm impressed. I listened to the same 3 songs all day on my last pair (Koss kcs75, not the best comparison but they are great in their own right) and have now listened to those same songs a few times on these, and they sound fantastic. I've got a casual interest in decent sound, and to me they're well worth £30.

Edit: Just blasted through 15 favourites across all genres, could barely wait for one to finish before moving onto the next, ecvellent

Listening to Royksopp absolutely blew me away. Lovin it I'm glad I'm back with aptx, totally knocks my airpods into oblivion. Wow wow wow
I caved in and ordered
Just give the eq a tweak an I'm sure you will be even more impressed. Anyone had any disconnecting yet? Still not happening on mine yet but I've not taken them outside.
Decided to keep the MPOW after all. They sound great and TBH i didn't really want to return them.

Then I remembered the IPX7 rating, wore them in the shower today and no issues at all.

So I'll just keep them for round the house and if I'm going anywhere built up I'll take the Zolo's. Sorted!
Mine came today but they say m5 on the box not t5?
Also are these supposed to be pushed in all the way? Looking at model pictures they seem to go all the way in but mine protrude outside the ear quite a bit. I'm scared I may burst my eardrums if I push them in all the way like the advertising pictures?
Just picked mine up, haven't had the time to look at them but I did notice M5 wrote on the red box :/
