Thank you I was waiting for a while for a price drop Ordered.

Got a couple of these myself and they are a quality product.normal price is £25 or £30 just for one,i got mine on special offer (lightning deal) for £18.99 so even at that price these are still a bargain as i could have 3 instead of 2 :).

Very hot from me.

These are brilliant. Ordered last year after getting fed up with the solar powered lights. Highly recommended. Great deal.

Thanks OP just ordered, need a good deal on D batteries now

Excellent product at great price if you need three. I have two, one of them in my shed, so I can find things in there after dark. You do have to add on the cost of four good quality D cell batteries per light, but they last for ages - over a year if used as a security light in my experience.

These are really good got one out front, powerful for such a small light.

>>12 D batteries required.<<
Could be interesting if you could rewire them to take 26650s, but looks like the voltage would be out.
Could probably DIY up a lot brighter system for similar money, but a bit of hassle of course.

Really good lights, but only seem to last about a year before needing replacement. I'm on my third set now.

Does street lighting prevent these working?

Agree with that, our one has just started playing up. It's on constantly at night, with a second gap when it goes off and then it's back on again.

Will have to see if I've still got the receipt.

thanks, the picture of brown lights or the word "brown" in the title wasn't clear enough for me. ;P

I just bought one last week , great security light

Although it says brown I would call it closer to black actually. I ordered two in the lightning sale and was a bit worried about the colour but they are fine. Excellent product too. I'm very impressed with mine.

Any deals going on a pack of 12 D batteries?

Great find OP!!been waiting for this to drop price.
Ordered!!thanks!

can these be turned sideways ? Could do with them being turned to cover a bike that's down the side of the house.

They can be turned a full 360 degree.

Question for anybody that owns one of these: How do they compare to a mains powered 120w floodlight with PIR?
Also, is the pir sensitivity adjustable? I don't want it triggering with cats and people walking past my garden

Got the model down from this and that's bright so god knows what these are like! Love Mr Beams stuff, have the low level lights around the house too and they all work brilliantly.

The sensor seems to get damp/malfunction leaving the light constantly on at night. It's a shame because apart from that the product is fantasic, quite a few reviewers mention the same issue.

For any outdoors equipment I tend to cover the seals with cling film. I haven't had any problems with out door electricals getting damp using this method. You should try it

These lights are really great, worth noting that they stay on constantly if the batteries are low.

I've got 1 set with eneloops and the D-converters you can get from Maplin, but regular alkaline D batteries seem to last a decent length of time anyway - 10 weeks so far on Energizer ultra.

The adjustment has notches so you're best to get the correct angle when putting the bracket up if you want to position it perfectly.

I put electrical tape around the seals but they seem pretty decent anyway.

These have a slight yellow tint where the single LED ones seem to be more cool white.

Was thinking of some clear silicone around the seals too.

ordered with some D batteries, ouch £50 I did not think I would be spending today

Ordered. Thanks OP.

I have found that they work in very low light rather than pitch black (I have one mounted above the garage shining onto the driveway which receives some light from a streetlamp) so I suspect they would be ok for your use although don't quote me on that.

Great value. I agree with others about improving the sealing of external lights. I use insulation tape to do this as well. They last a lot longer then. Such a wide variety of D cell types and prices. Do they have to be alkaline or will zinc carbon do?

I saw them in Costco Sheffield 12pk for £12. Good price if you have a membership

I have three of the less-bright version and am still very impressed after two years. I've found that when they stay on for a few minutes with a second or two off, the batteries are on their way out.

One of mine covers a cat highway, and it eats batteries!

mmm - that's what they do when the batteries need replacing. They stay on to let you know / drain the remaining battery.

With just a quick 5 minute look after ordering I have found these. There is plenty of choice and seem reasonably priced.
Any comments on these batteries to match these lights would be appreciated.
Thanks OP for the lights.
