Are you talking Mince pies in general or just these? Making you own is defo the better option though!

Yeah but what does he deep fill them with ? Does he do this by hand or get some help as well ?

Anyway still too expensive. Even if these had gold pastry cases they are still a con.

Boycott Mr K

Just noticed this deal is a Tescon deal so it's probably a misprice, it should say WAS 74p now £1.49

I think if they made ad like warburton's where you could get to meet them I think there would be a very long Q to kick him to fk#. He would then need a deep filled hole.

Marks and Spencers are exceendingly better and making mince pies than Mr Kipling.

The mince pie goes back hundreds of years - England's King Henry V was a great fan of them and was served a mincemeat pie at his coronation in 1413.
Originally the mince pie did contain meat - mincemeat was a way of preserving meat by mixing it with fruit, spices and alcohol. The initial mince pies were large rather than bite size. It is sometimes said that the large pies were cooked in an oblong dish and that the top often used to cave in. As a result the mince pie looked a little like a crib, in keeping with the Christian nativity story.

Over time the amount of meat in mincemeat was gradually reduced until it became the fruit only substance we know today. In addition, the pies became smaller. Apparently they were sometimes called "wayfarers' pies" because they were given to visitors over the Christmas period.

I wouldn't even buy these with someone else's 74p... yuck

I agree M & S mince pies are the BEST ! for shop bought I' ve tried a few over last couple of weeks

love these !

not loving the hate though!

Well I just got back from Tescos and they stripped the shelves clean of these so some people must like them. Luckily enough there were some boxes on a side display and as they were on the top shelf and not many could reach them we got some. I like them by the way:-D so thanks for sharing :santa:
