this is quiet a good and cheap way to start your own website, it includes a .com/co/uk name and also 1 year hosting.

Slight neg it takes a few seconds to load, but then look at the price

any views on this? my Girlfriend has a good business idea and needs a website with paypal, is this a good investment?

looks very limited and they would host your site....not for me , no thanks - prefer more control

if you have a good business idea i wouldnt skimp on the business site web design.......you dont want to put off potential buyers with a poorly designed website

whats the problem with them hosting the site? i know nothing about web design

The free year'shosting seems ok, but it's likely if you need this package you are not going to be website savvy enough to be able to move your site if the second year hosting is expensive.

Have a play around on blogspot/livejournal/wordpress blogging sites first and then you can take it from there.

cant even do the basics...pass, jeez amazon are getting worse

i know this will get alot of haters, but vistaprint gives you versatility on a budget....& alot of control. It needs a lot of input tho, but the results are good.

I was with this firm for a year & gave up on them, there were quite a few bugs, layout was not great (for beginners) though it had alot of redeeming features, phone contact was not all it was cracked up to be & emails were slow.

As a result mine never got renewed, which was around £68 / £76.
There are better options (overall) since these guys came onto the scene, & cheap too! ..just look around sites such as Open Cart, ..very nice!

Try Weebly (free), you design your own website from templates it's very good and user friendly. Downside they have about two outages a year. Then buy your website name through one of the cheapy domain services. I used uk-cheapest I think something like £6 for co.uk and .com for two years. They also give you SEO links. I'm guessing there are other providers that offer similar eg moonfruit.

Cheers Monaco blue I started up on weebly after your comment! ..seems very good indeed (i'm a numpty & I can work it)!

both those site recommendations have been gold for me I cannot set a site up cos i'm **** & i've got one off the ground & another ready to go within 48hrs of your reccomend.
The domain site you recommended also has a very clear cut name moveing (by site) to weebly, so it's given my confidence a boost.
I'd suggest VeryVery & dom99 sign up have a play around for an hour, they'll be incredibly surprised, it is literally Drag to page, master of your own destiny & VERY clear cut help topics with graphics!
Thanks again.
