Suppose the criteria of deciding whether it's a bargain or not - would be to know the weight.
Aldi steaks are terrific (and attractively priced). We usually get Specially Selected Ribeye ('Finest' equivalent) but the regular ones are very good too.

Not sure why I keep promoting Aldi stuff - the shop is too crowded as it is. People realising it's not just cheaper, often it's better too!
Rib eye is £10 per kilo at morrisons atm. I just got 2 thick 400g ish steaks for just under £8. Now there's a deal!

I'll second that! Never had a decent steak from Morrisons though.
Aldi steaks are fab - never tried M&S ones might give them a try at this price

Do you know if it was also £10 at the butcher’s counter? I find you can get better meat there (maybe it’s my imagination).

Aye, £10 a kilo at butchers counter. I've just enjoyed a nicely marbled bit of rib eye from there.
That's dinner sorted! Thanks!
Got 2 nice 350g steaks for £10 (normal price) at a farm shop which is the normal price- the steaks really have the wow factor, much better than ANY supermarket steaks.

I know not everyone can get to farm shops but check them out if you can as they may be better value than you think. Farm shop I use in near Boroughbridge Yorkshire and is cheaper for bacon, potatoes than even Aldi and they keep better and last longer

Spot on mate, why bother with Mark's, I assume its still from a Cow???

Aldi all day long.
Please amend thread with price per kg info below title... this omission is typically an old ploy supermarkets use to bamboozle customers. This alone is the basis for which we can make judgement on value/ deal
Sirloin...x/kg
Rump...x/kg
Ribeye...x/kg
Over 600 on the strength of one report this deal exists in-store, somewhere...

M&S has sent out email alerts to those with sparks cards plus some info here:

Also surprised by the bonkers heat for puzzling deal that does not state prices per kg for each type steak (designed to confuse). Even blind, obviously MUCH more expensive than current morrisons & aldi steak deal
Also
my Sparks card app has £2 off a £10 spend in the food hall. Worth checking yours.
The best steak in the world is "Aberdeen Angus" period.
If you're into steaks then it's worth looking at the other HUKD thread:

If you have a pick-up truck and a chainsaw, just go and poach your own cow! The Romanians near us do it all the time!
got some steak today in the M&S £10 dine in meal. 2 pieces of rump steak - 370g. £17.35 per kg.
