Condescension Alert!

I'm absolutely sure no-one with more than zero working brain cells believes this is 'worth' 250 quid but at just over a quid a day I reckon it's just fine. But maybe I'm just a little consumer, whatever that means?

Sort yourself out.

Thanks sooo much! I didn't think I was going to get a beauty advent this year because they all looked a bit meh for the money... but I think this one looks fab!

It is - got my daughter and I one each but when you had to spend to get them - they seemed to go oos on line for a while too although some stores had them in stock.

Great deal. Ordered for Mrs B - flipping 'eck, spent 100 quid unexpectedly at M&S this morning. Thanks HUKD....I think

Last year's wasn't great still most of it in a box won't bother this year.

Exactly - do I need everything I order? Probably not! But a bargain - who can resist!

I don’t see how all these (probably less than) travel sized products are worth £250 still!

They base it on the per ml cost of the big bottles and translate it down to the small bottles.

Ordered for the Mrs, click and collect.

My daughter worked for M&S last Christmas and they were selling these off to the staff in mid-Dec for £10. I had a look at the contents to see if there was anything I would use and there were two products worth a tenner alone so I got it and then gave both my daughters the chance to choose what they wanted and sold the rest on Ebay with no problem, even the box. I got my tenner back plus more and me and daughters got some products too :).

Well, you've just labelled all those who believe M&S wouldn't mislead them by saying its worth £250 are without brain cells

Add something for £15 and then return it for a refund? Or free click and collect at store - if you have a sparks card check for food saving - £5 off £25 and possibly £10 off jackets and coats which may be useful to use when you collect?

Thanks. Almost bought one off eBay for £50 for the missus after failing to act in time #turboman

Worth ... That's just a state of mind.

I’ll wait and see if it goes to half price.............seem to be plenty of stock in stores in/around Edinburgh

Silly question but anyone know if this will be ok to keep for next Xmas ?

I think so if they are not opened and the air can get to them, some of them may have seals on also.

Most of the large advent calendars I know of don't have dates on the boxes ie, it's not "Monday Dec 4" just 4, so in that respect it'd be alright.

In terms of expiry date, most beauty products have date expiry after opening - like 6-12 months after you open the item they recommend you no longer use. So long as you don't open them I think it's fine. But to be sure you'd have to inspect each product to find out because I have come across some that do have expiry. (Sorry I know that wasn't very helpful)

I bought the Amazon one a couple of weeks ago based on the fact that it was a fiver cheaper and available online, but suspect I should have bought this one now.

Ahh many thanks everyone

This likely to go half price after tomorrow? I'm being cheeky...waiting for an advent calendar to get reduced.

I actually bought two advent calendars for a 50th birthday present and changed the numbers on the marks and Spencers one to 26 to 50. The last day of the M&S calendar was big enough to allow me to add an extra full size beauty item to symbolise the 50th year. It meant it was a beauty item for every year lived. If I had had the forethought I would have watched last year to see if any calendars went on sale to do this. I recommend doing this though as it was fun and much cheaper than trying to buy lots of little premium for items independently. Still not cheap though so only for special bday. I also added little notes to some boxes to say this is the age you were when x happened. Or sarcastic comments saying 'I saw then pictures you could have done with this styling cream when you were this age' etc.

What a lovely idea for a personalized gift.

No more available

Thank you, just ordered for store collection tomorrow

Got this for my wife last year, definitely worth £35!

Got this for the missus when it came out, along with the additional £35 worth of goods.

However, ended up taking the other stuff back for refund, so managed to get the advent for just the £35 spend anyway.

Not sure these are as popular as they claim, especially with so many beauty calendars around now... sure I remember some of the Tree shaped ones being sold off cheaper in January last year.

Theyre great value if you can get one.

They were €339 in the Republic of Ireland....got one from the UK....can you guys please stay in the EU?

Cheapest I can see on eBay is 80 quid!!

Don’t bother trying to get one in store - they are still £250 when bought seperatly
