These seem to be getting more frequent. I don't know why they don't just have it on permanently! If only they did the £20 Meal Deal more often.:(
New menu looks like the old menu

If it was £20 your choice from rival supermarkets would be endless, a meal deal at the £20 price point would be easily to emulate.
Aldi/Lidl, you can get close with a chicken and a much better bottle of wine than anything on the M&S List, even Aldi/Lidl cheapest is as good, if not better, with more to spend on the food, for around £10. Aldi's Wines run rings around Tesco, at the same price point.

£12 would be a more realistic target, instead of opting for smaller pack sizes and cheapening the Wine offered, Raspberry Panna cotta, a prime example.

Still think these offers have far too much excess packaging, for something eaten pretty much same day. There must be a million plus Raspberry Panna cotta plastics pots into landfill, everytime they do this, as we have found out regarding disposable Coffee cups, this week, virtually none are actually recycled/reused into anything useful.

We Brits much prefer it when M&S tip it all into a 5p carrier bag and charge £10 instead of £10.05 with lots of plastics bits to throw away and recycle afterwards.
Thanks OP, heat added - plenty for the veggies in this deal as well which is great news.

They ran a £20 deal for Valentine's Day, which included a better quality choice of food and better wine. Waitrose did the same. I'm sure that there are lots of M&S customers who would be quite happy to pay the extra if the standard was sufficiently better.
Went this morning as M&S is next to my son's nursery. Got a rotisserie chicken for £7.41, a bottle of French red wine at £11, garlic mushrooms and panna cotta.

"Plenty"? 2 mains? I guess it's better than 1. But good selection of sides. Just wish you could swap a main for 2 sides.

I always found the £20 deals to be the same as the £10 deals only with something small added in (chocolates, starter or similar).
Your much better off getting two of the standard £10 deals in my opinion as you get a lot more for your money.
Chicken Kiev En Croute sounds interesting. So, bascially a chicken , stuffed with gralic and parsley butter, breaded and wrapped in pastry?

The chicken keiv en croute is why I keep buying the £10 deal...it's excellent, especially with the Rosti's.
It's not breaded and wrapped in pastry though- it's unbreaded chicken breast in a creamy garlic sauce wrapped in pastry.

No, get the chicken as there's enough for four if you get a big one, plus the apple pie will serve four too, just need to add some spuds and veg and enjoy the wine yourselves
Asda started doing same, for those like me who dont live near MS. bargain with bottle of wine inc.

It's delicious! My 5 year olds love it too. It's the main reason I get this deal.

The £20 included a starter and chocolates yes but that's not all. Portions were larger and better selection and quality. They had oysters, mussels, smoke salmon starters; steak with peppercorn sauce, lobster, salmon mains; Better choice of wine and over all a more luxurious menu. Would only ever end up the same as £10 deal if you skipped all the premium offerings and got vegetarian dishes perhaps and a non alcoholic drink otherwise it was great value and a shame it's only once a year! - on Valentine's day making single people fat!!
Perfect complimentary pack of 3 deal at Wilkos. People dating HUKD members are pretty lucky in love.

Heat, have just bought the steak pies, also wine cotes du rhone ( should be £11 on its own)
Has anyone tried the Butchers Block Malbec included with this deal? Is it any good?
Edited by: "CelicaGT-Four" 16th Mar 2016
Not tried the malbec but I got a cotes du Rhone villages which is not listed on the website but was on the red wine shelf labelled at £11 but part of the dine in deal! Much heat. This was at Prescot cables m and s
The cotes du Rhone villages is the highlight of this deal, with Wotwine rating it as worth £8 making the deal stellar value if you do take this option !
It's mentioned here

As Easy going and drinkable with a bit of character and aroma like you'd expect from a Côte du Rhone. Not outstanding for the price though.

It is outstanding in this deal though! I do wonder if they're just shifting the last of the 2014 vintage though.
On my Sparks account I got a discount on Gastro Pub meals and deserts, I added these and when I picked up my deal (I got the Gastropub cottage pie and panna cotta) an extra £1.70 was taken off
