Make sure you get there early on....I usually forget about the promotion and when I get to the store all the good stuff is gone.

It's been rubbish the last few times, the Waitrose one sounds a much better bet. Not voting.

I really am getting sick of picking through the scraps at the end of the day because the greedy, insomniacs or staff have grabbed everything. I do not class this as an offer if it is not available to everyone.

you cant expect to be able to go in at the end of the day and still get the full choice.

I have yet to have a decent bottle of wine with this offer on the whole I find M& S wines awful.

I feel inclined to mark this as expired even before I get to the store.

Good post. Thanks for giving me a preview as I usually don't find out until I read the Saturday morning paper.

still a good deal as saves money and m&s usually expensive anyway, so £10 fab price! however menu this time does not sound as good as their last one a few weeks ago that was much better with the lasagne, garlic bread, wine and profiteroles yum, this time round is more like a sunday dinner lol.

Also - sale starts tomorrow Just had email! Woo hoo!

Why can't you expect the full choice, it's a shop if you remember a few years back Sainso's lost loads of customers for having half or nearly empty shelves throughout the day - they i.e. M&S know they are promoting this offer so they should keep them stocked up. Last time I went in and they seemed to be able to stock what seem the cheapest item a pizza but nothing else no desert or accompaniments . . . thats not a deal!

Good when they first started with the offer, now for £10 is not such a good deal. As I rather spend another £3/4 to get what I really want rather than straitjacketing on what's on offer or whatever that's left. The £10 offer is equivalent to about 20% off. Unless you like all the 4 items then if you don't like one of the items or you find it less good, the 20% notional discount is wiped out.
Main Course is worth about £4-5
Veg - worth about £2
Dessert worth about £2-3
Wine - worth about £3

as they say, one man's meat another man's ...

In our local M&S (Barrow-in-Furness) when they ran out of deserts they were giving customers the 3 other items plus a £5 voucher for £10. Ideal if you are dieting:p

two veg?

they do this every week dont they?

Excellent thanks!!

I cannot understand people whinging about this offer. The food from M&S is of a good quality and the prices in store reflect this. The people that are saying that there is no stock when they get there should be aware that offers likes these are subject to availability. More so, given the fact that they have the intiative to view/post on a Hot Deals website on the internet. Offers like these are aimed at enticing customers into the store. M & S make less profit on the items that are in the deal, so are less inclined to increase stock levels more than their budget (for such promotions) allows.

I am whinging as you so politely put it because it is an offer than the same poeple get again and again. what about us that have working hours that dictate that we can't get into the store before the main components of the deal have sold out.. Those people who take 6 of each offer because they want the discount on 6 bottles of wine as well as the dine for £10.

An offer should be available to ALL. If you can't accommodate all your customers then stop advertising it all over the media when you are so low of stocks.

Do you moan when every deal posted on HUKD is not all inclusive, all encompassing and available to ALL? :whistling:

A deal is a deal, some deals on this site last for moments, this one in particular lasts for 4 days!

M&S were voted international wine merchant of the year. I find some of their wines fantastic...
Honey Tree Shiraz, Casa Leona Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Maara Chardonnay to name a few.

Sure if your looking for cheap wine, Ernest Gallo + Blossom Hill can't be beaten for wines around £4 or less.

And the offer,
Bought a Large Chicken (1800g or so) = £8.52
Traditional Veg roasting tray (600g) = £3.99
Hot chocolate pudding = £3.49
Clear Lake Chardonnay = £5.99

Comes to £21.99 when done wiithout discount.
So a saving of 11.99 for me.
And some people here have to moan about it, of course you have to whinge and moan about something!

Personally looking at Waitrose and M&S, Waitrose looks to be supplying more ready meals, where M&S are giving more "raw meat" away to cook it and season it and do what you want with it, instead of having it microwaved/warmed up in the oven.

Got a large roast chicken marked at £9.55 so definatly a good deal. Tip - my store were displaying all medium chickens with this offer so pop round to where the chickens are usually kept and bag yourself a large one!

You need to rephrase your catergorys, on people that manage to get in early, thankyou very much
First time i've actually got this deal because it's true, if you leave it too long there is nothing decent left! I managed to bag beef casserole, roastie potatoes, the chocolate fudge pudding, and the 2 bottles of juice plus £60 of baby clothes in the sale

i always find the decent meals have gone aswell and thats lunchtime! personally i prefer this menu to waitrose and i find the rose wine nice. thats only my view though

I moan at this deal because it is a long running deal, continually advertised as the be all and end all of meals and is consistantly out of stock; having been behind others moaniing at customer services about the lack of stock, I know that I am not the only one.

its a pretty good deal - i nipped into m&s yesterday and not knowing about the deal - ended up getting it for nights dinner
a whole chicken which was about 6 quid
mash potatos - about 2 quid
mango jelly thing - £4
and a bottle of rose chardonnay - £5.50!!!

so i saved a wee bit there well worth it and that was about 7pm before i got there.....

I managed to find a chicken for £8.65 and Clear Lake Chardonnay for £5.99 so I am well pleased. Thanks!

The cider chicken was not part of the offer in Ayr. Loads of stuff available but left with nothing.

Fabulous.....got loaded up this morning. Spent £100 but the bill should have been £190!! Included 4 chickens, 10 bottles of wine, 6 chocolate tarte things and lots of potato things.

Bargain....heat and rep.
