These deals come up so often, I really don't feel inclined to heat it up. I can also cook a beautiful meal for less than £10!

yes maybe but the wine is around £7 alone
Yes, I've had this deal before, its good value
Heat added
I agree bottle of wine is around about 7 pound, may as well pat £3 extra and get a meal with it
Wish all places would do a decent meal deal without wine (for us that don't drink) and also without sugar laden soft drinks.
in Bury store you can exchange the wine for a picnic hamper or rug, or you could a few weeks ago.
This deal is always on in Glasgow store(s). Tesco also do a similar deal and offer 6 glass bottles of coke or 4 litres of lemonade if you don't want cheap wine.

Poor selection which is a shame. several forms of chicken dishes
Heat for the find though
selections pretty poor imho
Love this deal we always get these m&s meal deals. Fab prices! heat it up!!!
Agree the selection is not good but as I was just in M&S I thought I'd have a look and ended up getting a chicken which was £8.50 odd, the Pantofola (frozen for another day), the Passion Fruit Roulade and a bottle of Rosso di Puglia (had this on a previous deal and it was nice), so not bad for a tenner, will do my own spuds and veg with the chicken. I do wish M&S would bring out more choices though, a little while back they had pork joints which were nice and as mentioned previously an alternative for the non-drinkers although I'd be tempted to give these bottles of wine as presents with Christmas coming up ;).
Love these meal deals but let's not promote the 'free wine' lie - it's an 'included' cheap bottle of plonk (£4 max) with a creative price ticket on it to make it look better. Why do think they don't give you the pick of all their wines up to the claimed value, or let you take the food only for £3?

Are people so easily conned? Apparently yes. No need, it's just a decent, regular promotion for £10.

I'm a chef with 20 years experience and you'd struggle to offer a quality 2 course meal with wine for £10.

with wine ? starter and dessert.. a half decent bottle of wine is £7. This is a loss leader for M&S to get you through the door.

We try the tesco finest meal deals too just depends what I'm fancying to eat as to whether we have the tesco or the m&s meal deal that day. Both are lovely and the free wine is a bonus on both offers!
I've been meaning to try the finest meal deal but when I looked it seems to be for two people whereas M&S chicken will serve 4 so it suits the whole family, I will try tesco one day when the kids are out though.
Just started in Newport Sparkes card Prosseco £12 with meal deal duck foe usand 10% off total shop ?
Bill was £31 down to £15 wine was £12 of £15

Totally agree, been getting the wine and giving to my parents.

Not sure why a retailer would want to offer more choice to around 10% of their potential audience...

tried tesco finest meal deal, taste better than m&s

Really....? Once I tried had tiny portions, and I mean there was about 2 tiny pieces of beef in sauce with about 5 tiny potatoes with Cous Cous and the worlds smallest hot chocolate melt dessert with one of 2 bottles of wine to choose from for a £10, the Tesco deal was awful... good for a light dinner I guess... maybe!

Really couldn't justify £10 Tesco Finest deals Vs M&S deals for £10... M&S quality is always far better and tastes better!
Moving forwards/ bucking the trend etc. Severly limiting the choice of main courses is the major factory in driving my business away and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels the same way.
One veggie option and never a vegan option
I can't edit my post or reply with this out of date browser but the point I seem to have missed is that it's ONLY when the single vegetarian main is sold out in a branch that their contingency list becomes valid. Vegetarians wishing for more options cannot avail of this offer initially but have to wait until nearer the end of the offer in the hope that other dishes are available, that sucks in my opinion
Waitrose deals are better as you can have a starter or a dessert, a main, a side and a bottle of wine or a box of chocolates.
The butterscotch and pecan cake is too die for
