I love how people bleat about this being overpriced. Personally I’d rather buy this than stand in line at Lidl for an hour, then throw some elbows to get the last pack of pasta, while Karen, in her full Chernobyl outfit, yells at me to keep my distance from her and her degenerate offspring, just to save a fiver. over priced or what
Seems expensive!
This approach should be totally banned and must be revolted against. Now they will decide for us as what to eat or drink. Profiteering from crisis is another crime. Shame on these greedy leeches.

I think I'll send one of these to my in laws, it'll cheer them up while we can't see them. 🔥
It is all the shopping places seem to be over charging for this

Not bad if you can’t go to the shops and can’t get a online delivery slot!
considering the government is giving food away this seems a little bit pricey.

Yes thats a fair point so i suppose it might come in use to some but for the price amazon pantry offers better value for less

The government is only giving food parcels to the most needy people who either can not get food due to circumstances or medical conditions.

Thanks OP! Will be useful for anyone who can't get to the shops right now.
Good selection of food but where is the milk for the tea and coffee, also nothing much for breakfast items either
BARGAIN. 4 toilet rolls and a bag of percy the pig for £35. Come on chaps that's like gold.

Because M&S are profiteering? They're makign a big song and dance about opening early for NHS staff, yet they are probably holding back the fusilli to stick in these overpriced "food boxes".

Cheer up mate.. Put the toilet rolls on ebay if you must! Get about a tenner back!
I've been in to my local M&S foodhall where the main store is now closed and the town centre is really quiet, actually quite safe to walk around as there's so few folk out. Anyway, last Thursday and again Saturday there were loads of reductions late afternoon and few shoppers to grab 'em. Plus I can now say that some of their ready meals and cheesecakes are very good.
So, it was my hour of exercise walking there and back to do some essential shopping for food. Win, win.
Dont know if any of you have shopped in m&s lately but that would be the actual price of these items in there store if not more
And there should be bread milk eggs included and more stables rather than milk chocolate dark chocolate shortbread

Actually, it's only around 30 quid worth of food if bought individually from M&S.

About 15 quid worth of equivalent items from Tesco.

It's just the usual profiteering and exploitation of tragedy. It's disgusting, but it isn't surprising.
Why so much chocolate ???

They have form.
A little previous with the rations at over inflated prices i hope things never get so bad that this is ever considered a bargain.
LordLott31/03/2020 13:55

Yeah, that is my main gripe too. We all (well most) like chocolate, but I don't think many ppl would consider that (or fancy shortbread) an essential item. It's a shame as I do like some of M&S stuff, in particular they usually have very good tinned meats (easily made to go further e.g. in pies etc) which would have been perfect for this box, but there is precious little of that here (one tiny tin of steak )

It's a good idea to get more ppl staying home instead of queuing at the shops but like the Morrisons box the execution here is poor, actually worse than the Morrisons one IMHO as while a tad overpriced that one did have more daily essentials than this....
I've just added that up in my head, that's probably what it costs if you bought it separately, my total was £32. This isn't Tesco's value brand stuff.

Too much sweet stuff, tinned veggies are needed for the sauces. And a vegetarian/vegan option would be great. But if my Grandad was still alive I would have got this for him. He'd love it.

It's a good time to do this and I hope the milkmen/women, paperboys/girls, local convenience stores, local cafes doing takeout, takeaways, garden centres offering delivery rather than dump all the spring plants - all make enough money to get through this. Better that than support the rip off supermarkets.
We have managed to get a lot of essentials through the milkman and I shall be keeping him on once all this settles down.
OOS now
Time to expire, this is now out of stock
Oos

Not all do, some near me have closed for the foreseeable future. I agree with your comments though and have been using a local company who normally supply restaurants but have switched to supplying households.
