M&S Mature Stilton only £5.49 per kilo! Part of the M&S half price on selected cheeses - just bought a massive wedge of nearly 700g for only £3.70! Perfect for Christmas cheeseboard! Other half price cheese includes mature cheddar.

WOW that is cheap. I work at the place that makes this and I almost pay as much in the staff shop. Great deal.

Make sure you get some of the half price champagne when you're in there - it's soooo good! All the people in front of me in the queue had crates of it!

Flombard

Tesco have 454g for £3 currently

Could only see £8/kg as Tesco cheapest online... is the Tesco one also the mature version?

yummy

Think Flombard was referring to the £3 cheese selection. Anyway as pointed out thats 454g for £3, this is considerably cheaper at £5.49/kg if you're not too fussed about the cheese you're after.

Don't suppose anyone else knows what other cheese are half price? After some epoisses, cambozola, appenzeller, camembert and gorgonzola.

Which is fine - except that most Tesco cheese (like their meat) isn't worth eating.

Quite right, particularly about the meat. Though I have bought this Tesco cheese before and it's not that bad. After seeing shelves full of Cathedral City and similar dross, the Stilton is quite welcome..

However, I don't know why Tesco was even mentioned to start with, as it's significantly more expensive than this posted promotion, and is nothing like half price.

Finally OP, 700g is not a massive wedge by any stretch of the imagination. We could easily polish that off in a couple of days. (_;)

If you want stilton try colston bassatt no other stilton comes close

Colston Bassett's fine - but not as good as Cropwell Bishop ( cropwellbishopstilton.com ). All a personal thing, though.

Trickyjabs
