M&S Meal Deal is back - Dine in for 2 £12

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Important. This deal is not a guarantee there will be any stock in the store, so please don’t make a trip you wouldn’t have made otherwise just for this item - we should all limit our time out of our houses to help slow the spread. Please also shop responsibly - don’t stockpile, and consider whether you could help out any vulnerable neighbours or friends.

Perhaps a sign that 'panic buying' is coming to an end!

Personally I really like the rotisserie chicken

I got about £60s worth of food for £10 the other day in marks. Stored most of it in the freezer and won’t have to shop for a week. Take advantage while they work out how to stock their stores. All the stuff in this meal deal will be 50p each in a few days. Spend the extra money on a half decent bottle of wine instead.

Best stick to just eating deserts then...

Has anyone tried to order? I get this "Temporary closure of our Food to Order service".
It will be in store only

yeah I don’t like going peak times with all the military style shopping enforcement, so go at the end of the day when needed. Been smashing it recently! I usually only go in there for bananas (reckon they’ve got the best of all the supermarkets, must be to appeal to old folk) and tonnes of stuff has been reduced. Go about 1-2 hours before closing.

Are you talking about here or supermarkets in general. I haven't been panic buying so unfortunately when I have needed stuff I've had to overpay. Hopefully I can save a bit somewhere

Had same experience, local M&S (in fact all local supermarkets where I am!) are mostly for commuter and inner-city footfall, since there's not much of that there's a lot of stock being reduced.

But they've certainly adjusted their ordering accordingly, much less on the shelves now the first few days of bulk reduced stock has been cleared.
Always a good deal
On average, each main mail is picked up from the shelve and put back 6 times before someone buys it. Each side is handled 4 times and each desert twice.

I found the same, once at 4 to 5 p.m. but the other time was at an unbelievable 1 p.m. when loads of stuff was really cheap. Trouble for them is that city centre shops are closed and hardly anyone is around. The streets are quiet so for me it was my hours exercise walking there and back. It won't last of course, so make the most!

Have to agree, went last saturday morning (around 11am) and it was near empty and lots of staff reducing fresh items. Got a punnet of blueberries for 64p!

Agreed actually, early afternoon is the new end of the day. Had a clear out at 2/3pm

probably way more, not to mention things like rats peeing on the stuff in warehouses. Fruit being picked barehanded by god knows who. Fruit and veg thrive in fertiliser, which can be poop, or the bugs that crawl on them....

what’s your point again?

Marks is ok, not too militant. The main ones are a bit weird, so only go in the evenings.
