Isn't this normally £10 ? - Are M&S using 'New Year' as a way to charge more ?

Yeh but with a slightly better selection of starters and wine, rip off.
the £10 meal is usually just variants of chicken, this has a slightly better choice, though two £10 meals would be better value.

This seems to have a starter too and more meat choices. But I don't know , the choices in the past didn't take my fancy. Maybe a regular can shed some light

I agree, better choices and a starter.
But, 2 x £10 'normal' meals would be better value and with 2 x bottles of wine. The wine is almost worth half the value of £10 deals and M&S giftcards can be picked up with Amex offers etc.

Voted hot for the effort, but I'll be giving it a miss and keeping my giftcards for a later date.
Beef Wellington is priced at £14 so it is much better than regular main.
Agree the beef Wellington is the way to go. I agree with others tho and it is a tad over priced. Go with the steaks (priced at £6-7) and you'll only save £5 or so on the meal deal.
I agree too, for me it's Scallops, Beef Wellington , Chips, Profiteroles and Snapper Cove rosé. ☺
hot from me..always lovely and everything is overpriced this week !
It doesn't seem amazing value to me. But we will see... The wife is going put to getva couple of these. At least time spent cooking is minimal
