Please don't buy this card. The cooler is terrible, worse than the blower, and its louder too. Go for the Sapphire, Powercolor or XFX custom cards, avoid this.

Not seen a review for the Mech. Is it better built than the Evoke?

Had the XT version of this. Very loud, very hot. Died after a day. Got a Sapphire Pulse vanilla 5700 instead (£272 from Amazon Warehouse). Worlds apart. Quiet and cool. Even after I flashed it with the XT bios (for a free performance boost).
I wouldn’t go near this mech OC.... but maybe I got a dud.
Recent reviews are not good either.
Don't bother with this card, cooler is garbage and the huge reason why it's on sale right now. Take a look at hardware unboxed videos on the best 5700/XT models to buy!

If the xfx versions are anything like the 5700xt avoid those too. They only stay cool because the fans ramp up full blast and make the card so noisey.

XFX are offering free replacement for the cards from the earlier batches, the newer ones have the memory cooling issues fixed. Nonetheless it is nowhere near as bad as these.

Not sure why people are voting a flawed product hot. It isn't a deal when its fundamentally worse than the reference one.

why would you bother when 1080 is cheaper and betteR?

What about XT version since I own that
Idk if it's loud since I've got 4 other fans so idk which is which

I got it because it was £25 more than blower

I bought it end of September I've seen a ASUS TUF Gaming for a similar price I paid now so idk if I should return it and get that since it's already in my system
Edit: NVM I just checked the Tuf is actually the worst which is surprising since it has 3 fans, I still prefer the extra I paid over reference since it looks way better and it's apparently slightly cooler/quiter according to Tech Yes City)

I haven’t come across a good MSI cooler. It seems quite hard to actually botch a cooler yet they always manage it - last generation it was the Armor series... other than designing a heatsink with heatpipes big enough to cover the die area, VRMs and memory + sufficient airflow from the fan(s) what can actually go wrong?
Just to balance this out a bit I have this card and it's quiet for me even during long gaming sessions.

Tuf is terrible the low price one to go for is the Pulse or Gigabyte OC.
I got the Sapphire Pulse XT version yesterday, sad to say it's already winging it's way back to eBuyer.

Spent about 12 hours trying to get it working, crashing under any load whatsoever on every game, even a fresh windows install didn't help.

On paper these are really good cards, they are gonna send out a replacement eventually so fingers crossed.
