finally back in stock at Amazon and more coming on 13th December. Been waiting weeks for stock to come back in.

Great spec board with good VRMs suitable AMD RYZEN 1st, 2nd and 3rd Gen, much better audio codec over the b450 tomahawk and includes Wifi and BT

These are from my understanding being shipped Gen 3 ready

Should be x470 or 570 at that price

X570 only the poor boards. Decent ones are still double this and for the spec and money it's really good value.
This is indeed a great board, and I think they are great. It is a shame that it's not any where close to the prices over the summer, still a good deal as an equivalent Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module/card would be more than £20.
Amazing how this board has kept its price and the most its swayed down is this compared to the Tomahawk Max which has been c £80. Dont think £5 off normal for a B450 makes it hot. I would just show some patience now and wait for B550, which should cause price drops or getting a better spec board in the spring. It will also need a Bios update for 3000 series because MSI refused to make a Max version, unless they updated the bios at the factory?

It's not really a normal B450 board. Decent VRM. Intel NIC. Two M.2 slots. WiFi/Bluetooth goodness. If you want a basic B450 board, go with the Tomahawk. Super easy to upgrade the BIOS with a USB flash drive, plus they are pretty quick with BIOS updates.

Used this in a recent build. Really happy with it and super easy to flash the BIOS to use with a Ryzen 3rd gen.
had this board an specs wise it was brilliant, had an issue with my PSU which I realised after sending the board back as I thought it was the issue - got a gigabyte x570 Elite to replace it, but would happily get this again.

But I'd need a 2nd gen chip to flash it?

Can I ask, does this board have Bluetooth?

Heat OP!

Just so your aware these are now being shipped already gen 3 ready. Also the board allows you to flash without a CPU

I believe they are being shipped gen 3 ready now as mine came with a sticker on it saying gen 3 ready.
I have the x470 version of this board, it's excellent. Little sad it doesn't support CPU-less BIOS upgrades like this 450 model though.
Picked this up with a 3700x cpu, there was a Ryzen 3000 ready sticker on the box so I figured there wouldn’t be any incompatibility issues.

There wasn’t, at least at first when I put the pc together and installed windows 10 (first
Boot), it all seemed smooth. That was until I restarted the pc.

3/4 times I have issues getting the pc to boot, when I restart the pc (in windows) or cold boot the computer (power button) the pc fans will be spinning but there’s no display, no power to keyboard and mouse, and the onboard debug led is showing cpu error (red light).

I checked the cpu for bent pins, reseated all components, tried different bioses, cleared cmos - not helped.

When the pc boots, it’s fine, Ive stress tested for hours with no issues. After a session of gaming If i restart windows, or power down the pc - next time when the pc turns on it fails to post, and sometimes
I have to keep holding the power button to shutdown over and over to get it working again

I’ve spent hours checking Internet forums and it seems there are others that have run into the same issue, that’s been going on for months, with no apparent fix on the horizon.

It’s a fantastic looking board with excellent features that you need to spend £100+ more to get with X570 chipset, but for me it seems to be unstable with the latest Ryzen CPUs.

I wonder if this could possibly be a PSU issue. Seems odd that if it was a CPU or bios issue that it would not even post. Also the intermittent nature seems strange especially if you have stress tested.

I used a psu from my old build which has been running for years, Corsair Rm 850, I’ve never had issues with it.

Ah in which case I would consider RMA or returning board for another. I don't think it a common issue as alot of people highly recommend the board and I myself are now using with a gen 3 with no issues.
Just wondering if anyone can advise me. My mates upgrading his system to a aorus masters and said I can have his asrock x570 steel legend for £130. Just wondering if anyone has experience with it and is it worth the extra £15 over this b450 board and the hassle to switch boards. I don't mind doing this. I think it might offer me better future proofing.

It could be a faulty board. The board doesn't behave like that normally.
