It normally happens when eBay have a code for specific sellers.

Good, I am happy somebody on here nabbed one
Great board, I have one and it’s more than adequate for my 3700X & 2080 Super. This is basically the price it went down to on BF and CM.

Is that the only difference between the 2 boards?

The Tomahawk has Mystic Light and one of the 2 * USB 3.2 (Gen 2) ports is USB-C while the Gaming Plus and Pro have an extra PCIe x1 slot.

All three have the same VRMs so overclocking will be identical.

the vrm heatsink on the tomahawk MIGHT be better... I'm in the same boat. Don't want to "waste" money (especially on pointless aesthetics and rgb on motherboard) but in the grand scope of a system build, dare I risk scrimping just £15 on a cheaper mobo..?

So essentially £15 more for blinking lights?

Yeah, if you don't care about looks then I would just get the cheapest one.
It's definitely worth looking at the MSI Mortar Max, cheaper board and better I/O, depends what features you want.

They don't have to blink. They can be static.

The Mortar is a great board. An extra couple of rear USB 3 ports, an extra m.2 slot, and an optical audio out; all of which the Tomahawk lacks. It does lose a couple of SATA ports, only having 4.

Probably a more well rounded board for most people than the Tomahawk.

Yeah this is what I thought, I wanted a board with optical audio out built in, I know you can install a header breakout cable on most boards, but I wanted it built in. SATA is something I didn't care about, I have one SATA drive and it has enough to cater for me. The extra M.2 might come in handy one day and the USB 3 spec is better than the Tomahawk. Anyway I'm essentially agreeing with everything you said

The only gripe is the BIOS POST speed, which is about 5 seconds or more, no fast boot or ultra fast boot that I can find. It's not a bad BIOS pretty good but Asus/Asrock know how to do BIOS properly.
