Shhh this is actually a better board than the Tomahawk. Just nobody wants to break the circle jerk.

Seriously though, check Buildzoid's videos on this. There are better VRMs, but not in this price range with a heat sink as effective as the one the Mortar has.

Very good price. Heat.

Keep in mind, though, lower NVME slot disables the lower 16x PCIex slot (which is only wired 8x anyway), and there are only four SATA ports. But I'd say this is the best all round mATX B450 board. Waiting for mine....

In my opinion I bought this board to pair with a Ryzen 2700x for the best bang for buck. I will be gaming and doing content creation

A great motherboard to go with some of the Ryzen deals flying about

This or the Aorus pro for an extra 9 euro?

ebay.co.uk/itm…250

looks potentially better due to intel gigabyte LAN & the audio. Is it worth the difference?
I paid £85 for this board a week ago when the 5% was running. So hot!

Personally I'd choose the Aorus Pro if you have room for an ATX board.
Currently the best all round B450 MATX board in my opinion. Quality VRMs and solid feature set, including 2 NVMe drives (2nd disables lower PCIE slot and only runs at PCIE 2.0 x3, but perfect for a fast storage or game drive). Great price voted hot.
Insanely cheap! HEAT added.
I own this board and is nothing but amazing.
Great board, been using this and a ryzen 5 2600 for about 9 months (yes my board isn't the max version but essential its the same board)

cheers was debating it. I'm case agnostic at the moment...

I'd suggest X570 Gigabyte boards if you go with one, not their B450 range. They skimped on VRMs. People make a big deal about this because Ryzen's top performance really does rely upon them.

Money keeps going up though!
That's why I believe this is the best bang for buck
USB-C is good also . DO you get a bright red 24 power connector ? And sticker area
You get more for less, itx vs matx ... crazy world ..
So I'm completely out of the loop these days on the goings on for pc hardware. But I'm building a new gaming rig now before corona virus makes all the parts expensive and hard to get.

Planning on getting this mobo, with a ryzen 3600 (hotukdeals.com/dea…659) an nvme (hotukdeals.com/dea…456) to run my os and games (I don't have many so dont need loads of space) and some ram (hotukdeals.com/dea…029)

Nothing jumps out as wrong there does it?

Edit* Oh and I need a graphics card but nothing jumps out to me right now. Other than the 5700 or the xt but I've had good experience with nvidia cards in the past so reluctant to jump ship.

I would try putting all the parts you will buy or use on the pcpartpicker website and it will show any compatability issues
Top nvme slot supports full pcie 3.0 x 16 (3500 read/write)
Bottom nvme slot only supports sppeds up to (2000 read/write)
What is the real world difference between ALC 892 & 1220 ? Also the difference between intel vs realtek lan?
Only thing making me hover over the button...
