The 1st picture says 2 years warranty?

if it's purchased brand new - I believe refurbs get half the original warranty

I ordered the £299 one posted last week, it was all scratched casing was dented, disappointed because i wanted this for a xmas presie.( badly marked) laptop works o.k. though.

Yes sorry, that picture is taken from a different site, just to show a different angle of the laptop. If this is misleading, shall I remove this image?

is the processer not awful?

I bought the MSI CR500 for same price about 6 weeks ago. It was better spec cpu,ram and hard drive

depends what it's going to be used for I guess. Probably plenty powerful enough for a large number of people, and at this price it's pretty good.

That's bad luck, the one my sis received was mint. What does it say in the description of refurbs on the site? i would've thought you'd be right to expect a product almost perfect looking at least. Perhaps worth contacting them? (within 7 days from delivery you can always return it no questions, remember under distance selling regs)

its not a bad spec for the money but if they come like the one miss money saver was saying they are a no go.

Well one I got from them was in A1 condition. I think it's just luck of draw really.

and isnt the processor a sempron single core?

The same model posted last week was undoubtedly a better deal, given its extra 70gb of HD space, additional 2gb of RAM and marginally larger display.

I ordered that one and have encountered no issues with it.

It's a shame that one's not available anymore but this seems to be the next best thing, and the best you're going to get for this price from a reputed dealer. About to order it for my Dad, he's not going to want to play games on it luckily

So this would be no good for the upcoming Football Manager 2011 then?

I'm looking for a laptop for general home use, (a few games, storage of mp3/4's, browsing the net etc.). Should I just keep on looking for something better than 2GHz processor speed?
