That has the 850M graphics card, so not a like-for-like comparison.

See gaminglaptopsjunky.com/gtx…0m/ for an example of the difference it makes (38% on average!)

Would have liked this but didn't really want to spend so much on a laptop. So I just bought the Asus N551JK from Amazon which at £563 was a lot cheaper (see Alexrazzz's HUKD post from a week ago). With a 15.6" 1080p IPS screen, Nvidia 850m, an Intel 4200H, 8GB of Ram, decent sound and a 1TB HDD you get a lot of gaming bang for your buck. Right I'm playing Cryostasis with the advanced Physx patch applied at 1080p with every video setting at max and it plays fluidly and looks gorgeous. Would thoroughly recommend it for people on a budget.

OK price

If you're going to vote 'cold' then please vote because an equivalent spec laptop can be bought more cheaply elsewhere, not simply because "laptops should be cheaper than that."

I'm well aware that laptops are cheap these days - my thread on a 17" Dell for £305.97 went hot earlier today.

This is specifically a high-end GAMING laptop. As far as I was able to find, this was the best deal at this spec level.

Thanks!

Hot because it's a gaming laptop and they are expensive.

Please stop comparing things that are not comparable, the most expensive part of these laptop is the graphical chispet

An okay price for last year's mid-range gaming laptop. However, value for money isn't there, Nvidia Maxwell (9xx range of cards) equipped laptops are starting to emerge and are worth the wait.

Whilst I'd agree that the 860m is better than the 850m, I did notice that games that decidedly won't play at 1080p on the 850m at high FPS, also tend to be poor on the 860m. I also read a good article on Gaminglaptopjunky which showed there was very little difference betweem a quad core CPU and a dual core CPU (think they looked at the 4200m). I'm not knocking the deal but I do think that double the price doesnt necessarily mean double the gaming performance, maybe 10-20% is a better number.

Don't know about gaming laptop so don't vote either way. Only play games with a proper desktop for less muscle strain/neck pain. What is the desktop equivalent to the 860m?

Why buy a £350 laptop? get a £100 mobile and a blue tooth keyboard and you're done.

I have a GS60, its great for games. MSI support was very poor though when I had a problem, so be warned...
