Seems cheap for a HTPC. Capable of playing 1080p no problem, but doesn't support 3D.

Good price. Thanks.

Good price for an older htpc upgrade, what advantage does this have over modern integrated graphics, pretty impressed with the Intel HD4200 graphics myself, especially considered its one of the slowest ones

Best for those without a powerful iGPU, or none at all.

If I'm not mistaken this will allow dual display, worth noting that the heat sink isn't low profile so will take up 2 PCI slots if this is the card I think it is.

Not good for an older HTPC, can't bitstream HD audio, otherwise it would be perfect.

Would have no advantage over integrated graphics. Intel 4200 onboard wipes the floor with it and uses much less power, can do proper deinterlacing well, this isn't powerful enough.
You'll needa 430GT or better for watching 1080i tv deinterlaced properly, for basic 1080p MKVs with standard DTS/AC3 audio this card is fine.

Great price

A slightly more expensive card. You wouldn't buy this to replace an iGPU unless it was really poor.

Didn't say you would.
"iGPU" isn't a correct term btw.

It's not a mainstream term used by any group of people or institution which means it's not a proper term.

It's easier to type iGPU, as to Integrated Graphics Processing Unit. I choose the former like many others.
That makes it a proper term for me as I use it.

I know,
I was just being awkward due to being misquoted and patronized to be completely honest.
