Very good price!
Was 99.99 once you factor in postage. I bought it. Thanks!

If it is second hand does that mean it's been flogged to death mining? Can you tell how many hours it has been used?

Wouldn't really use a 1050 for mining.
What you gonna mine with a 1050, 0.0000000001 bitcoin per century?

Thought it was fairly realistic to be honest...

That could be one of the reasons of why they got returned
Sad that with today's prices, this is considered good. About as powerful as a 7850 from 2012. Of which I picked up a second hand one in 2015 for £35.

Bring on the price crash, £90 for second hand low end is bonkers.

0.0012 BTC a month... Thats what my one is doing at the moment. About £8 a month
Would this card be worthy upgrade over a GTX 560 TI? I have an old Dell desktop that my son is using now for gaming.

£8 per month...minus electricity cost, minus hardware depreciation costs. 100W over 744 hours per month at average UK electricity cost comes out at £12 per month. So I would estimate the total at MINUS £5 per month. Bravo miners. Many miners in the UK are simply abusing someone else paying the utility bill or making barely any return. It is a false economy. Also, most currencies lost 50% of their value in the last 3 months.

Yep

Unless you get free electricity it's not worth it

No, thats £8 after electricity costs. Hardware had already paid for itself on December 19th 2017. It was mining a whole lot more than £8 profit a day in q4 2017.

NOT worth it now though, ROI on current income levels combined with overpriced GPUS make it a non starter... if incomes didnt go down any further then its a long time till ROI, but it will go down further... Sit on your hands, cheap GPU's will return.

Thats £8 per month profit now, today, after electricity costs. Hardware has already paid for itself. And thats now, in Q4 last year it was MUCH higher than that (about 4x as much profit) which is why so many people jumped on it, it was a way to print money.

Not worth it any more! Difficulty has skyrocketed due to so many people jumping on it (its dead easy to setup) and the value of the coins themselves has slumped massively (time of year) so expect to see a lot of miners selling up as GPU prices are still very high.
Is it really worth it for £8, after you consider the electricity cost and the cost of replacing your GPU and the volatility of cryptocurrencies?

As above, for £8 a month, probably not. I wouldnt. Q4 last year it was 4x that and GPUs were much cheaper (and you could find them all over the place).. This card could be had for £120 new last year. With profit at around £30 a month it was only 4 months for it to pay for itself.

0.0012 BTC per month is what you quoted as the mining output, by today's value that is $10.92 = £7.86 not including your bills (unless you weirdly converted your utility cost back to BTC and subtracted from your mining output, which would be weird). Looks like you are losing money to me.

Quick and dirty figures from Nicehash Calc. It has been as near as dammit to my actuals when I have checked in the past (for a point in time, not looking backwards).
