Cheapest I think I've seen a 2060 outside of an eBay 10% code. Decent entry into 1440p gaming with this card and it's a cracking price.

Good card but a few quid more the RX5700 blows this away!

Nah just looking around window shopping, for when I finally feel the need to upgrade.

Plus you can load the bios from the XT version which is comparable with the 2070 ( maybe 2070 super in some games )

If your tech savvy then you sure can. Blower cards are £299 now, not as loud as many claim them to be!

Hardware Unboxed reviewed that particular card, it's a shocker! Unless your water cooling.

I have the rx 5700 undervloted, custom fan curve doesn't exceed 80C and fan not loud at all. Great card for 144 Hz 1440p monitor

Reference designs are underrated to be honest, good cards at a good price.
Bought this for £289 from CCL ebay store in March with a £50 off code, replaced 2 x ASUS Strix GeForce GTX 970, very happy with the card.
Great price in original post

Do you mind posting your wattman settings as i am struggling to run the card below 1.000V. Anything below and the radeon settings reset at startup.

I have loaded the XT bios on my 5700, but this isn't the final version of the undervolt, just something that works good for now38947079-Xlgrp.jpg

In some rare cases it actually beats the rtx 2080 as well and some game like farcry new dawn are only 3-5fps behind

That's a pretty good deal and you even get the new cod game. I got the 1660ti for £250 and this for the extra performance and game is worth it in my opinion.

Anyone here with a knowledge of building pcs, (an up to date knowledge) willing to speak to me about a gaming build? I'm looking to build a pc from scratch after black Friday/cyber Monday and could use some advice, I'm out the loop due to family etc.
My main thought is building around a
ryzen 7 3800x cpu but that's as far as I've got because I have some questions about compatibility and ssd drives. Mainly should I just install a 1tb ssd and run everything, games, os and general storage from it? Or is that a bad idea.
Anyway, if anyone gets this and is willing to speak to me either via email text WhatsApp etc please feel free to give me a shout on here.
Thanks James,
(I'm a 37 years young, copper from Scotland with a basic knowledge of building pcs which is very out of date)

Why the 3800x and yes you can throw everything into an SSD. Buy a decent NVMe SSD you won't be disappointed. Buy a graphics card based around what resolution you will be playing to avoid wasting money on an over powered card you won't benifit from.

AMD RX 5700 series blower cards are not loud....if you are deaf or partially deaf!

I had to get rid of my 5700xt after a week as the noise was unbearable.

Did you under volt or set a fan curve?
Ventus seriies cards are usually not worth it due to high temps and quite noisy work. It's a low price for a reason.

I would probably get the 2070 as well but I'm doing alot of gaming on my TV and it uses freesync. For me it's a must have, getting the gigabyte 5700 xt.. Hopefully don't run into those issues

Join over lockers forum and read all the posts on ther for a while, then make a build, post it on there a d the guys will give you advice

Also, go to pcpartpickers and make a build, each section opens up a list, ie CPU, memory, storage etc and the site finds the best price for each part
