for me its hard to justify this price for a 2080 when 2070 supers are like £130 cheaper at the moment for not much diffrence in perfomance

Hmm not voting. While a good price for a 2080 the 2080 is inherently poor value as it only very slightly ahead of the 2070 Super and even at £600 it is 20%+ price premium.
Agree with the other posters, esepcially given most 2070s can clock into the 1900mhz plus range.

So you guys are saying 2070 super more better to get?
Looking for a 2070s for around 400£ hopefully it’s always worth buying new? I’m new to gaming cards , or second hand .
Overclockers have a 2070 super for £449, that's the way to go over this
Cold... not super. This is eol stock. 2070s is its almost equivalent therefore the price of this 2080 is unjustifiable. Might go down further tmoz

I'm looking to buy one myself but that modern warfare deal has ended now unfortunately, hopefully theres a new free game deal soon
What on earth is going on here at HUKD? Do people that know nothing about PCs go "hey, I would save £30 if I bought this now" and vote hot? My 2070Super deal includes over £100 of free items, essentially making a 2070S cost less than £400 and it is barely in positive temperatures...

£600 for a regular 2080 is NOT a good deal, sorry to say.

Yes and No while the 2080 is only about 10% more powerful it makes a lot of difference if you want to game in 4K with all the settings turned up. If you dont care about that issue 2070 is a better option.

Only bought it yesterday they had 1000 new codes allocated to them for CoD. Give them a bell.

I’d say 10% is best case, it seems between 5%-10% is the usual range.

Update; 10% is definitely top end tomshardware.com/uk/…tml

Look at Far Cry 5, that only sees a 4% increase in average. I did pick on one of the smaller gains and others do a little better but not sure any hit 10%

Got a link? Sounds like one for me to buy!
Cold! For this price I would like 6 fans attached to it!

It has unfortunately ran out presumably, as OCUK have changed the deal. The price is now £479.99 with a free £40 SSD.

On certain cards it's still on juat bought the evga 2070 super and got it with that
A well overclocked 2070 Super is about as fast, and a decent factory OC 5700XT is within 10 percent but can be had for £350.

It's not a good bang per buck, but that is what happens the higher up each tier you go.
£600 for one component of a pc, and they call vr a niche market.
