Nice discount but if you shop around you can get the same spec with an ssd and extras for around £50-£100 less. Well from my recent observations when shopping for a new gaming laptop. I still maintain if £800 is your budget and you want the absolute best for that price then get a refurb from the dell outlet.

I recently ordered an Inspiron 7577 for £840
i7 7700HQ
16GB ram
256gb ssd
1 TB HDD
Gtx 1060 6gb GPU
1080p ips display

That being said I do like msi laptops and had a couple myself in the past.
Did they send you just the box or something? No way you're getting those specs for that price...

I'm not lying lol. I had a 15% off code. I was going to get one with a 1050ti that was a scratch and dent model for £700.
There's also a scratch and dent Inspiron 7577 currently on there with a 1060 for £922 but with a 10% discount for first time customers that makes it £830. If you get on chat and get a nice rep they will give you a code for 15% (emailed within 24 hours) as they are also currently doing 15% off all alienware at the moment.

15% off would make it £785 for this spec:

I'm looking at one for 700 with the specs you mentioned, however it's a scratch and dent model so I'm not sure if I'm willing to risk it.
Yeah I know it can be off putting. I have had a scratch and dent before and had a very minor mark on the lid. The screen or anything else will never have a mark on it. Best thing is dell support is second to none so you can return it if you didn't like the condition. Dell do not sell shoddy kit. I think you would be surprised with the condition. It will have a minor mark or 2. Sometimes they can't even be seen. The certified refurbs are like new.

I'm definitely going to consider it since a 1060 6GB in a laptop is pretty incredible for that price even if it has a minor dent or two.
Just a note - I have always had dell laptops but was put off the 7577 by the small keyboard - it's as if someone thought 'oh oh -' we forgot to put a keyboard in - oh well shove this little one at the top of the base'

If you just want to play games then fine but if you want the ability to play games and use the laptop for more mundane purposes then think carefully, at least see one in real life before ordering. I ended up buying an HP Omen which plays games the same but has a full size keyboard.

I ended up with something not as great but the good deals kind of vanished and I'm in desperate need of a laptop since mine recently broke so I ended up grabbing this from the Dell outlet.

Inspiron 15 - 7577 (certified refurb)

i7-7700HQ
16GB RAM
1TB HDD
128GB SSD
GTX 1050Ti 4GB

£739

Probably will be upgrading the SSD to 256GB over time and have Windows run on that. Kind of bummed about the 1050ti instead of the 1060 but to be honest for the gaming I do I won't really feel the 30% loss in performance. It's a hell of an upgrade from my current 8 year old Toshiba Satellite anyway lol. Thanks for everything man.

1050ti will do you proud mate. I'd be very happy with what you got there. Enjoy
